Actually getting bored tinkering now...leaning towards an early-ish wildcard I think once new signings and managers have settled in...

    Heaton | Button

    Cathcart | VVD | Robertson | Digne | Johnson

    Barkley | Sterling | Salah | Perez | Dendoncker

    King | Kane | Greenwood

I've been so happy with my team for weeks now and this morning I started to tinker

    Started with

    Edersen, McGovern
    Robertson, TAA, Laporte, AWB, Digne
    Sterling, Richarlison, Fraser, Camarasa, Drinkwater
    Firmino, Jota, Long

But with that team I'm more or less married into a 5-3-2 every week

    So have now switched to

    Edersen, McGovern
    Robertson, Ake, Laporte, Digne, Kelly(palace)
    Sterling, Richarlison, Fraser, Camarasa, Drinkwater
    Firmino, Jota, Wilson

Gives me more flexibility across a range of formations

Now that Drinkwater has finally moved I want to play him straight away. I think he's going to do well at Burnley as he did at Leicester and I can totally envisage his price rocketing up. No reason why he shouldn't play straight away as he's played preseason with Chelsea. I have wanted to own Ake for 3 seasons now but never been able to make it work. He's so threatening from set pieces. I think he's a good trade off for AWB.

    Any thoughts ?

    I think I'd start with a 3-4-3 if i go with team 2

Poor team imo. Really strange forward line up

    Pope/Heaton

    Robbo / VVD / Tarkowski / E.Stephens / Targett

    Salah / KDB / Redmond / Bilva / Hayden

    Vardy / King / Deeney

Usually pick my team at the last minute but actually put some effort in this time.

    Would appreciate any input

    Last decision i have is:

    King and Moura

    or

    Wilson and Tielemans

Leaning towards the first one but really want Wilson. Is King guaranteed to start most games? I think he is on penalties as well?

Too much on the bench imho. Not sure I think Tark is worth 0.5 over other Burnley

Its not cookie cutter, but bobby has a lot of potential, guaranteed starter in an attacking team.Wilson was devastating last season and jota got 3 assists last night in Europe so he's on form

    Pope, Button.

Digne, AWB, Van Dijk, Cathcart, Rico.

    Richarlison, Salah, KDB, Martial, Robinson.

    Firmino, Wilson, Greenwood.

I really fear for wolves players re: fantasy. They have serious travel done already, squad is small enough. I would love to have Boly & Jota in my squad but rotation could be a massive issue, tiredness and disjointed performances of they rotate heavily

I'm tinkering around with 3 different drafts ATM, but I'm pretty happy with this.

    GK: Heaton (Button)
DF: Robertson - Van Dijk - Rico (Montoya) (Targett)
MD: Salah - De Bruyne - Moura - Perez - Robinson
    FD: Aubameyang - Wilson (Greenwood)

Would love to get in Alexander Arnold but I'm unsure of his minutes in GW3 and so on. He's dynamite though.

Rico is a GW1 filler who'll get shipped in the WC. Should start.

I'm not going to captain Sterling for the first 3 GW's so gonna work him in for GW4 & hopefully KDB can do a job for me until then. Robinson is a OOP punt, but I expect Sheffield United to do well to start with given their work ethic.

    Opinions are very welcome!

    EDIT- My 2000th post (yay)

I hope everyone elses head is melted today too...

All this last minute tinkering just when you think you have it nailed down...

Anyhoo, I'm stuck between Coleman or Wan Bissaka, any opinions??

Thoughts? May swap a pool def for City, dont like having only one City player. Not sure I like Greenwood, maybe Wickham instead?

    Christ, tinkered away to this.

    Ederson (Norris)
    Robbo VVD Digne Montoya Lundstram
    Salah Sterling Moura Perez Dendoncker
    Wilson Deeney Greenwood

Tend to think the first team is better although Azpi going out for sure to maybe jus Zinchenko knowing thats a transfer waiting to happen

Man Utd season ticket holder who is heading over this weekend. Wan Bissaka has been our best player during preseason by a massive distance. Can see him as a BPS magnet.

Was one of the first names in my team anyway.

It's a good-looking team. Obviously there's some omissions, like Sterling and Digne/Coleman, and City defense, but at the end of the day you can't have them all. Your squad looks well balanced, with some nice differentials. *Edit i'd perhaps be inclined to go Jimenez over Moura(though i can see the temptation to go with Moura especially gw1).

    Settled except for one decision:

    Laporte and Haller or
    Robertson/TAA and Jota

    Already have VVD

I think a lot of the teams posted over the last few days have got very template-like. Nice to see a different team. Firmino could well match Kane in this gameweek or better him. The issue I would have would be if Camarasa and Drinkwater start.

    Sick of tinkering.

Had white bread, butter, mayo, beef and cheese with a Whole Nut and Mccoys and Banana up front.

Didn't feel like I quite had the balance so opted for brown bread, butter, mayo, and chicken to free up funds to transfer an apple danish in with the banana dropping to the bench.

Decided to downgrade Laporte to fit in KDB. Currently on:

    Pope-Heaton
    Robertson-Digne-Dunk-Cathcart-Diop
    Salah, KDB, Fraser, Perez, Dendoncker
    Aubameyang, Jota, Deeney

My 3 cheap defenders give me BRI, SOU, WHU, NOR, BUR in the first 5.

Auba will become Kane in GW3 (or downgraded to bring in Sterling) but I think hes the ideal GW2 captain.

    Any thoughts?

Think I’m going to stick with this unless anyone wants to persuade me otherwise?

F*ck it, think I'm just gonna settle on this:

    Ryan
    VVD-Digne-Lowton
    Salah-Sterling-Moura-Siggy-Perez
    Wilson-Wood

    Button-Targett-Dendoncker-Kelly

    0.5 ITB

Well, one of these players was newly signed by a club, and the other could well be replaced by a new signing.

AWB all day for me. :)

i think i'm risking no Spurs.

i can't quite get off Siggy currently, even though I have a niggle that Moura is going to get a 15/16 pointer in GW1.

Everton's better run is swinging it for me.

    Not many captaincy options there

I'm a Utd fan too so my heads leaning to AWB, I had him last year and was delighted with him and having watched him pre season he is a fantastic player.

Can't afford Digne to the guy who suggested him.

Swap Montoya Lindstrom and Deeney for Rico Diop and Jota and we have the same team.

Not 100 percent convinced and I think the biggest issue is the lack of flexibility. It's next to impossible to get a Kane in with that team......but that brings its own problems .

Very tempted by Digne Ederson to Pickford Zinchenko to free up a million. Everton have great fixtures, and Ederson doesn't make saves
