Are you referring to the vote for the GFA or for to leave the EU?

Except that each of those quotes is verbatim from the GFA. A simple 'ctrl' and 'f' in that GFA link will help you find them all in about 20 seconds.

Perhaps everyone thought it would be simple, that was not necessarily a lie. It doesnt matter who does or does not want a no deal now, they are leaving with or without one

They were lied to. Johnson lied about the NHS. Fox lied about getting a deal. Farage lied about immigration. The only people who knew what they were voting for were people who voted Remain. Every single Leave voter voted for their own version of Brexit. How many people voted for No Deal in 2016? How many want No Deal today?

Ive answered that question several times now, your soapboxing at this stage. As for your other point, its called electioneering

    Leave the EU

Yes, a majority of the population of Northern Ireland voted to stay in the EU and you're refusing to recognise it, while simultaneously demanding that the English decision to leave the EU should be recognised. And not only that, that the English should also have the right to force their choice upon NI against the wishes of the majority there.

Your conception of democracy is, to be charitable, not exactly consistent, is it?

    Leave the EU

    55.8% voted to remain.

    Their wishes are being ignored.

    How is that democracy?

So you don't know. Just like the Leave voters. They hadn't a clue either.

    Leave the EU
NI voted for the GFA which is an important internationally recognised peace agreement.
The UK agreed in this to protect it.
Should the will of the people not be respected?

    I don't believe this for a second.
    Nor do I.

52% voted for it in 2016 (with a WTO exit being the default position).

That figure is probably higher now.

After what happend in Cyprus in the 1950's I'm suprised at the brits welcoming the Turkish army onto the mainland I guess it's a sign of how far the this great country has fallen, I hope it's not part of a cunning plan by the turks

De paffell is giving them a £300m sweetner, at least hes not forgetting his roots, the writers of dad's army couldn't have made dis up, I hope they go with no deal on oct 31st, but I'm going to miss the entertainment or will it only get better then

    2016_EU_Referendum_Ballot_Paper.jpg

This is the ballot paper that the people of Norther Ireland used when voting in the EU referendum. NI is part of the UK, they voted on weather the UK should stay or leave the EU. Just because the people of NI as a group would prefer to stay is irrelevant. It was a UK wide referendum and the UK as a democratic group chose to leave, therefore NI is going with them weather they like it or not. That is how democracy works. The people of NI had their say.

I get it now, more brits put an X in the second box than the first box in 2016 and then the left the EU...??? no I'm still confused.

That's about as stupid a question as one could think of. Would you like to Remain or would you like a unicorn. When asked a relatively less stupid question in a opinion poll last week, 43% preferred Remain and 29% preferred a deal. Only 19% wanted to crash out. But carry on defending the ridiculous and the nonexistent.

I think the EU 27 should rescind the final month of the extension and boot them out at the end of September. It was only granted to allow them time to pass the deal, which they have reneged on. In fact I'd give give them until 13/9 at the G7 meeting then cackle with laughter at BJ as he begs to stay.

Disagree. This is all posturing in the lead up to the actual negotiations tha t will take place in the final few days before the deadline. Don't confuse this soap opera for the actual negotiations that will most likely only happen in the very last few days.

Opinion polls are almost always wrong. What did every opinion poll say the day before the EU referendum? Why did the Brexit party do so well in recent elections if most people want to stay in the EU?

    Negotiations by who about what?

Actually most opinion polls said the result was Brexit or the results were marginal as to be with the margin of error. Given the result, this was not actually wrong.

I have no idea why the Brexit party did so well although the list system probably benefitted them. Also, the UK voted a boat to be named Boaty McBoatface so they have a record on not take no things too seriously. Possibly because FPTP is almost akin to modern rotten boroughs at this stage.

I know these things take time, but if you want in or out everyone is just fed up now.

The Brexit party got 32% (less than a third of the vote) because they stole Tory votes. Just like the Greens and Lib Dems stole Labour votes. The Brexit Party will disappear when a GE happens.

19% want no deal above all other options. Even if those polls were 20% out, they demonstrate that a small minority want no deal. Less than half of the 52% who voted for leave, lies, unicorns.

It's not at all. It was a straightforward question to which the UK as a whole voted leave. It's really that simple and it's laughable how people are in denial about it still.

May the remainer is gone. The UK is leaving the EU. Operation twart democracy has failed.

The people of NI had their say.

And a majority of those people voted to maintain their status as part of the European Union. Their wishes are now being overthrown and they are being forced to leave the European Union against their wishes. There's your "Brexit democracy" in action, despite the UK's commitment in international law to respect the wishes of 'the majority in Northern Ireland'.

Good to see this morning that the powers that be over in the United States realise the magnitude of Britain's breaching of the GFA that Brexit entails:

Pelosi can derail any post-Brexit UK-US trade deal plans: White House trade pledge empty without backing from pro-Irish House Speaker

It's laughable but predictable that simple people still defend the simplistic.
