What are the options to being discussed at today's meeting?

From what I've been told - but take with a pinch of salt

Postponed games to be played midweek with no attendance - eg cratloe would play later this week.
    Postponement of Cratloe football game.
Postponement of Lissycasey game (pending results)
    Cratloe to give hurling walkover
Cratloe to give hurling walkover and postpone football game

Very tough situation for all concerned, hopefully the lads make a full recovery

If the rumours I've heard are to be believed at least 1 Dual player and possible Junior players, not smart

Draws for the #ClareSHC & #ClareIHC to go ahead shortly

6 positive cases confirmed in total at Cratloe GAA Club with players now in isolation until the weekend of August 22

All games in the #ClareSFC & #ClareIFC go ahead this weekend other than those involving Cratloe.

Clondegad's junior football panel also in self isolation as a precaution having played Cratloe in the opening round. One of the Cratloe players from that game has tested positive but there are no cases confirmed in Clondegad.

Midweek refixtures are not an option for the clubs involved so games for Cratloe will go back until the weekend of August 22. Round 2 #ClareSHC v Eire Óg & #ClareIHC v Corofin with their football game v Clondegad on the following weekend.

All from Derrick Lynch off twitter.

    And here is the draw for the next round;

    Clare SHC Quarter-Finals
    Inagh-Kilnamona v O’Callaghan’s Mills
    Ballyea v Kilmaley
    Broadford v Sixmilebridge
    Feakle v Winner Cratloe/Éire Óg

    Clare Senior B Hurling Champ
    Quarter-Finals
    Whitegate v Clarecastle
    Crusheen v Clooney-Quin
    Wolfe Tones v Newmarket-on-Fergus
Losers of Cratloe/Éire Óg v Clonlara

    Clare IHC Quarter Finals
    Bodyke v St Joseph's
    Sixmilebridge v Tubber
    Sm O Briens v Corofin/Cratloe
    Scariff v Tulla

Now let’s see how this all plays out. What are the odds of the championship not being completed?? Must be very low

I thought the 9th placed medal competition wasn't going to happen?

The Clare GAA TV coverage seems to be getting better week-by-week, just got around to watching deferred coverage of Sixmilebridge v Whitegate and thought it was pretty well put together overall. The new video host is a big improvement too.

i think its better that they do play in more regional grounds allows some of us more crafty supporters a chance to climb the wall and see a few games live , miltown is an excellent venue for it :)

excellent performance by conor finucane who kicked 1-06 for lissycasey to put them into the last 4 and will fancy their chances of going all the way now after their win over kilmihil

breckans won the other derby game in cusack park , they got off to a flyer in the first 20 minutes and held the north clare magpies at bay from there , they join lissycasey in the last 4

miltown weathered the storm in cooraclare with a good win over doonbeg they enter the 3 team play off for the last semi final spot

kildysart keep their push for senior status in place after a hard fought win over O'currys

Doora/barefield will join them in the last 4 after a narrow victory against michael cusacks ,coolmeen and liscannor exit the championship as do kilimer in the junior championship this evening

    SFC 1/4 finals

    St Breckans 0-11 0-8 Ennistymon
    Lissycasey 1-14 2-07 Kilmihil

    SFC PLay offs round 1

    Miltown 2-11 0-11 Doonbeg

    IFC 1/4 finals

    Kildysart: 1-14 2-05 O'Curry's
    St Joseph's D/B 1-12 1-10 Michael Cusack's

    IFC Play off round

    Wolfe Tones 0-9 0-6 Coolmeen

    Corofin 1-15 0-3 Liscannor

    JFC round 2

    Ballyvaughan 1-10 1-07 Killimer

Cratloe should be thrown out of the club championships this year. Absolutely ridiculous that they are allowed to continue with so many connections to other area's and clubs.

For example, John Ryan is lissycaseys manager, how does his son have to self isolate and he doesn't?
The isolated players from O'Callaghan's mills whose names escape me are involved with cratloe footballers.

probably joe cooneys son conor from the mills , but it could be worse , if kilmaley or ballyea had a case on their hands it would be game over ,

john ryan was tested last week so once he was negative it was ok to carry on for lissycasey but in fairness they did stop all training until he got the all clear

It could be a case next year that no external managers or coaches are allowed. Containment of the issue.

Actually climbed a wall myself for the St Breckans, Cooraclare game in Miltown and there was actually a fine crowd that evening and I don’t think they were really stopping at the gate getting in that evening either. There was a few people on the wall at the Doonbeg, Miltown game yesterday evening and one of the stewards then let them any through the gate.

Ya Miltown’s the perfect venue for it as it’s fairly easy get up on the wall from the Spar side of the road. Cooraclare, Doonbeg and Kilrush aren’t as easy to get in as you probably would have to cross through fields to get a vantage point to watch games at them grounds.

It’s not a big deal anyway once there are not hoards of supporters turning up. Makes sense for stewards to let them in rather than having someone breaking their neck trying to get over a wall.

Ya definitely a bit of common sense they were fairly near the pitch, just past the covered stand in Cooraclare so a stray kick of a ball could have easily hit one of those people as well. There should really be people allowed into games as you’re probably only going to get a couple of hundred people into most games apart from county finals and they would be well able to spread out in most venues.

But I suppose that won’t happen and probably just shows the inept government we have in charge of the country but that is probably for another thread. People have less of a chance of getting the virus outdoors as indoors so I don’t know why can’t they let spectators in, as what has happened in the meat factories has been disgraceful and there has been no regulation or control over them.

Ya there is a good bit of common sense from stewarts with people sitting on walls, especially there in cooraclare

While the recording has improved a great deal you can tell one of the companies doing the recording are used to the slow movement of funerals :L
And it's really only the Cusack park games that have improved the most

alan is a deasent camera man in fairness , he dose work for loads of clubs around the county , the big problems that they had were not really on his part at the start , i think it was more county board at fault

few positives have come out of it in fairness especially eoin brennans venture in to the commentary box which has been a success

after this weekend i have found loop holes into nearly all them grounds , wasnt in doonbeg but cooraclare and kilrush have a few diffrent access either climbing a wall or much safer option of entering through fields across from the stand side

He is, met him many times, top lad but has an awful tendency to stay zoomed in and move in stutters, whoever recorded the Cooraclare v Kilrush game today should be shot, shocking...

The KIB game wasn't great either and there have been several times we have completely missed the play or what is happening, cards, officials discussions etc (not directly attributed to Alan, that's across all the companies being used)

Most of the issues starting out were pure county board bureaucracy and bull-headedness combined with a lack of experience (no one's fault experience wise really) in a larger operation, they definitely had a bit rate issue starting out, be that incorrect settings, sub par equipment or similar, but we are getting there

Great to see Eoin getting more air time, although sometimes the juvaliant commentary can go a bit too far and he comes across as taking to mick out of players or teams, not his fault he's great and the way he bounces of other commentators is fantastic but that's just something to improve.

he dose and did both games today but often has his young son at it with him , he is a stats camera man not rte so i wold always give him the benefit of doubt

i agree about eoin but put down the excess humor down to nervousness his first comentry was clonlara v newmarket 3 weeks ago , last night and today he did 2 duel commentarys on clare fm and online simultaneously which is hard work for the most experienced commentators

my favorite clare tv moment so far came in the round two hurling draw inbetween the intermediate and senior draws ,who would have taught a local politician would be stuck for words as michael o'connor (who has been excellent so far ) tried to kill time by going through the draw with chairman cooney , it was like jack hackett how to say "that would be an ecumenical matter"

Michael : Cratloe v corofin should be close joe

JC : Yes Fine Teams ....next

Michael : eh ......what about tulla v killeneana mr chairman

JC : Yes Teams very close game ....

    Michael : Smith O'Briens v Patreen ?.....

    JC : .......YES!

Michael : Doora/barefied vs.......thank christ the senior draw is ready!!! :pac:

Very much off topic here but someone might be able to quickly help - I'm looking to put a name / club crest on a gear bag for a birthday present. Anyone know a place in Ennis or west clare that does it? Cheers

I wouldn’t bet on it. Feakle have been very solid over last number of years and have some really good young players.

Be a tight one id say
