Gemma O'Doherty and her unicorns

I see that Gemma is now mentioning unicorns in almost everything she speaks about. She even thinks the Guards will be riding around on Globalist unicorns very soon and that Avoca woolen mills are trying to indoctrinate children into their new world order by putting colourful stripes on beige jumpers. Does she not have any family or friends at all that might seek the help she needs?

That's being insensitive to batshyte. She really is demented. I wonder what mad notions she will come up with when she's not elected to Europe. Leprechauns will probably be blamed. The little blighters

She must have a few quid to spare all the same - I imagine those ads plastered on the sides of buses don't come cheap. I wonder is she getting a few quid from the fundamentalist pro-life mob in the States?

Either is the airplane she flew around Dublin yesterday.

I love the conspiracy theory that Gemma herself is carrying out the reporting scoop of our lifetime. By infiltrating the batshyte lair, posing as one of them, leading them like the pied piper but secretly recording their every move, and exposing how gullible Irish people really can be.

Not unlike Nelie Bly, the woman who got herself committed to a New York mental asylum in the 1800's to uncover wholesale mistreatment and cruelty of the patients. Only her editor knew she was truly sane.

I'd say it would be very interesting to do a money trail on Gemma to see exactly where the funding is coming from. She has no shortage of twine to promote her craziness

Channel 4 reporter follows Gemma and tries to do a hatchet job on her.
Hasn't reckoned on her being such a mouth almighty though.

Normally in this situation the person is expected walk away, with the reporter following them and repeating the embarrassing questions, but getting no reply...

The photo he is complaining about, which she tweeted is here somewhere.
Its a school for black protestants, founded by Arthur Guinness.

The good thing about this sack of shít is that she can only go so far. To get to the next level she will need to engage in debate, be interviewed and have her views challenged but thankfully shes been so crazy and said such stupid things she could be picked apart by a 12 year old at this stage.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,514 ✭✭✭OleRodrigo

I'm guessing she's actually quite smart. Like many other journalists she's using sentiment analysis and data analytics tools on various social media to find out which views and keywords generate engagement. The Irish Times for example has a dedicated analytics department for this very purpose. Trump used similar tools to get elected and they were also used in the Brexit vote. The can be written by any masters level analytics student.

The half baked craziness is using the Trump method of always keeping yourself in the headlines, good or bad, in order to assist with your less frivolous goals.

Is it really. Were there a lot of black protestants in longford during Arthur Guinesses life? If it is a school for black protestants how does that explain the white childen?

You are free to come out with all your pro liberal globohomo crap you want.

But know this. We're growing. We've come out of nowhere with no money or no backing and people are taking notice.

You can try and gloss over it as much as you want but most NP members are under 25. All motivated by the love of their country. Nothing else. No Soros, no Farage backing them.

So go ahead. Dismiss us. Spew the establishment liberal crap.

    We're going nowhere.

That was kind of a joke, but also I wanted to see how long it would take for people in a CT forum to spot a blatant CT. A week and a half is the answer.

    Congratulations.. you're the winner :)

Having just swung by today (GO'D seems to be making herself crassly topical again -- item about her was on the C4 News yesterday), I think that might be less to do with your joke being somehow too subtle for the (rather quiet) thread, as "black protestant" itself being an idiom for "protestants, whom we don't much like". I dunno if this refers to the Royal Black Institution, the "more Orange than the Orange" types, or is just using "black" as a generic intensifier.

And a few more keyboard warriors like Rurald Weller, who look at the holy show the likes of Farage, Trump, and Salvini are making of themselves, and think "we should totally start our own Dealz version of their nasty ethnic nationalism, it's what all the cool kids are doing".

I'd guess it is more to do with "the dark side" and light versus night, and anything black being seen as more sinister.
Arthur built up his export business partly as a result....
His opposition to the United Irishmen - which led the drink to be nicknamed "Guinness's black Protestant porter" - and the threat of a popular boycott had inspired the start of an export business in 1796.
But its only very recently that we have literally had black protestants in the country. That particular protestant school is certainly thriving anyway.

    The recent elections proved that.

We'd one young lad in the middle of his college exams that garnered 1%, without posters or financial backing. Basically a twitter campaign.

OK then. If you’re happy with the 1% vote that’s a good thing because I think myself and the rest of the 99% are too.

I recently watched one of her videos complaining about Wicklow town and the loss of the hotel in that town. She was also complaining about the number of bookies and neon signs.

I am not that familiar with her work. Wasn’t she somewhat respected for exposing guarda corruption? Also her books on Mary Boyle murder?
