The Hollywood names will sell this no doubt

So is it stand up comedy with a little bit of Irish stereotyping thrown in

IRON MAIDEN will headline at Download on Saturday June 13, and at Belfast’s Ormeau Park Belsonic Festival on Monday June 15. These will be the only UK performances by the band in 2020.

Probably a Wednesday if they do travel to Dublin however they have played Belfast only before and not made the easy trip down south.

They have a Netflix special which I'm sure this gig will be more or less the same as. Unless they've written a whole new show...

The RDS arena to be the kind of rock venue for Dublin ???

Have a feeling Pearl Jam could play there next summer but could also see them with a chance of a slane gig

Guns N Rose's could end up in the RDS for 2 nights. Croke Park an option also but might not happen

System of a Down announcing dates for their European tour starting June 9th in Germany, then Download on the 14th. An Irish date likely?
Maiden for Slane with SOAD as support??

Not a chance even with soad, only castle maiden would sell out would be Malahide Castle.
Plus for any band playing slane it would be an entire island of Ireland exclusive show.

AC/DC with system of a down would be a good day out at slane.

    Were announced for Belsonic.

Since the reunion with Bruce, Maiden have either done a show in the republic (meaning Dublin) or the north (meaning Belfast) never both on the same leg, they'll be sticking to that, Maiden aren't big enough for Slane anyhow.

Slane gigs normally are part of a wider tour by the artist and includes the support bands that are tour with the band.

When was the last time a Slane gig was a one off or not part of a tour ???

I can't see Guns n Roses playing the rds they would treat that as an insult when they sold 80k tickets in one day to playing an arena which holds half of that. In terms of playing two dates that wont happen either thats not how they operate they play one date per country in the biggest stadium they have cause they can sell it out no problem , only place which will do is Croke Park , this is coming from a massive fan. Honestly id be reluctant to see them again Axl can't sing and no new music has been released and if you were to see them it would be the exact same setlist as Slane. It's AC/DC for Slane Castle id put money on it at this stage

I was made eat my words when I said Metallica would never sell out Slane but I can confidently say no way Iron Maiden would be big enough.

ACDC is the rumour and I hope its true.
