    Chainlink better

Having both is good :). But Ethereum is the most solid pick of all coins probably. Risk profile magnitude less than Chainlink. With Ethereum you are getting on the success of blockchain. With chain link you are betting on their success of being an Oracle coin. I own LINK and I don't understand why you need a coin for an Oracle on the first place . But hey...Good times. First mover advantage and a big fan base go a long way.

Nobody cares about the Euro price, you might as well give it to us in Rubles. Its the various dollar levels that influence the action.

USD prices marginally influence the action when they reach psychological thresholds (10000).

But overall this isn’t what’s driving the action.

I don’t see a problem with people measuring the value of bitcoin in any currency they like - and the euro seems appropriate on an Irish forum (I am sure they use rubbles on Russian ones).

What a few weeks. Happy to go sideways from here for a while for some final small accumulation before the halving.

    Ye are welcome Lads!

Not quite a moon, but I'm taking credit for all this BTC and ETH consolidation.

    Dammit :pac:

That was some overnight wick down to $9735!

Exchanges raiding stops I'd say. Nasty!

One of the reasons why I don't trade and only HODL.

I think that was inevitable as there was a CME futures gap around $9,900 which got filled nicely

It now frees up to go push on this week

These gaps are really good to make a quick trade for a couple 100eur every week
    They nearly always get filled

Its always a good idea to move out your stop loss after a weekend if you are in a trade cos these wicks can burn you as I found out once to my detriment
Thankfully I havent been caught since

But isn't there still a gap around 7600-7700 from 6th Jan?

Unless all gaps get filled before the post halving pump, the idea that all or most gaps get filled goes out the window, thankfully.

Speaking of CME / Bakkt, futures prices don't seem to factor in the halving at all!

And another gap at $8540 on the daily now that I look at it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,220 ✭✭✭✭Lex Luthor

ya there are a couple more lower down but theres a fair bit of support above them so may not get filled
generally the ones that are closer and have no resistance or support typically get filled

I think there is one at $11.8k from a good while back that never got filled either

If we don't get out of this wedge to 10.5k level, we'll be back to 9950 ish shortly.

Not that it makes any blind bit of a difference in the long run, but fun to watch.

BTC is obviously doing well, but ETH is on fire with 33% price increase in the past week (vs 12% for BTC).

Wondering how long that momentum can sustain ...

Very nearly dumped my Eth many times in the last few weeks, a return to previous highs would suit me very well at the minute, house hunting.

Just over $1400 early 2018. Let's not be greedy though I'd take 700 lol!

Around the time BTC reached 20000 USD, ETH peaked around 1300. But they was very short lived.

Yeah for anyone who got ETH anytime in the past year, that would already be a nice gain! (But we’re not their yet :-))
