Deegan having an excellent game. Hitting hard, carrying well, poaching and stealing lineouts. Can't ask for much more

Think leavy has looked dangerous too.

How many Max Deegans are on the pitch? Seems to be involved in every good moment in the last 10 minutes.

Cronin, apart from the try, is having a stinker.
He has quite a bit of a form problem.

His confidence is shot I'd say.

Surely if Whitehouse calls for them to use the ball at the back of the scrum, they should be made use it, and not reset?

    7 penalties is a lot.

The scrum was about to get going so PT might not be too harsh a call.

    Pen try for that?

Ridiculous when you consider what's gone on this season. No consistency at all.

Bloody hell. Definite penalty again but very early to go to a penalty try.

WP Nel is having Ed Byrne for breakfast, lunch and dinner here.

Huge break for Edinburgh after that bit of a shocker from McGrath.

Yep and he's not the only player who needs to see the "summer hols".

I reckon Whitehouse has been refereeing at a very consistent standard all season...

Deegan's been the best player on the pitch. When Leinster get going they're playing some lovely stuff. But we're making some silly mistakes and heaping pressure on ourselves. Defending pretty well in general though.

Byrne had the better of him for the first 20 minutes. Leinster won two penalties off them deservedly.

Nel seems to have figured him out now though which is more like what I'd have expected before the game. Nel is a top quality prop. I'd have him in a Lions 23 tomorrow.

Very harsh decision but if it went on it probably would have ended up with a yellow card and penalty try

At least one of those penalties came when they were down a man though. Think there may also be issues with Josh Murphy’s power though.

Luke Fitz has obviously read some of the online commentary about him...has dropped a rake of weight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,791 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Fitz is well off in his criticism of Tomane.

Having his best game for Leinster so far.

He has a complete grudge against non-Irish players. It doesn't matter what Tomane does. His comments say it all.

"Conor O'Brien wouldn't have done that. I don't know what he's starting ahead of Irish players. I haven't seen him have a good game."

Yeah I think Tomane has done very well.

Luke blamed him for the first try too when it was Byrne at fault.

Cronin is off at half time.

Impressed with Jimmy O Brien at full back. Surprised he hasn’t got any mentions here. Draw key going well at outhalf also. Ed Byrne got man shamed in that penalty try scrum I think his size strength is showing why he hasn’t been in front of Jack McGrath in recent years. Tomane has missed some tackles and is giving away the ball in possession I wouldn’t agree that he’s having his best game for Leinster

Both props need to be subbed. Edinburgh have the beating of us there.

On the plus side, we're doing a number on their lineout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Toolis off and the lineout becomes a mess

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Aside from Deegan, Ross Ford is having a fine game for Leinster.

In all seriousness, the Edinburgh line out is awful. I doubt any jumper was even going to be in the air to catch the one Ruddock stole.

That's a ridiculous decision from Whitehouse.

Perfectly good turnover from Leavy. You could see the release.

    Terrible yellow card

Textbook turnover from Leavy. Absolutely was fully released for a moment and didn't even make the tackle to begin with.
