Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aki still off. He must have failed.

A poor Ireland playing a terrible Italy. Doesn't get much worse.

Clearly trying to use Stockdale's height to regain possession from the dropout. Sexton's kicking is off tho.

    Ireland are so impatient

    And passing...

Cronin pinged for offside, but that's something he hasn't called almost a dozen times in this game.

I actually cant bring myself to celebrate that try.

    You and me both
    Ireland’s confidence shot
Italy so bad some of them should be shot

I think we need to consider the idea that Ireland are suddenly **** now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,142 ✭✭✭OldRio

Utterly dreadful last few minutes by Ireland.

Really need to reconsider Italy in this tournament. They are cannon fodder for the other teams. I hope they come good somtime but doesn't look like it

That was an easy try from Stockdale. Pity about the 2 pointer going right & wide from Sexton.

Possession has Ireland at 58% & Italy at 42% which is fine. But for a team like Italy. You would probably prefer it to be much higher for Ireland in that respect.

SO’B upto a whole lot of nothing imo.

    Much better from Sexton.

Why concerned?...you mean we won't get the try bp until the 38th mins ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,544 ✭✭✭Marengo

We'll probably get our BP but points differential won't be great we're so sloppy.

We need a huge score on Italy to have the remotest chance of a championship.

Lads, calm down. Accuracy is off, but we could still have the BP secured by half time... We're only 25 minutess in.

    Bigger picture is the concern
    We will hammer Italy

SOB not making many meters in contact and giving away a lot of penalties.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 643 ✭✭✭duskyjoe

how can one calm down watching a sh/t show from a supposedly world class team ?

That would be a reflection on Italy not Ireland

That's an utterly stupid penalty to giveaway by PoM.

    Our discipline is so poor.

Im not concerned about the outcome of this game - we will win it with ease. Im concerned about our mindset - this is the 3rd game of the tournament and in terms of accuracy we have almost regressed. Some pretty ordinary performances out there from key players. Murray still looks like a shadow of himself. Sexton mixing the good with the bad. Errors all over the park. Im concerned.

Decision making not what it should be.

Everyone's taking the wrong option. Even Farrell there off the turnover ball, should've passed but just boshed it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

Italy are battering us in the collisions.

This is hard to watch. We are awful compared to last year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,849 ✭✭✭ionadnapokot

    Pathetic attempt to outflank Italy
    Zero composure

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,366 ✭✭✭yerrahbah

Earls got away with one there

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Looking exceptionally disjointed at this point. Just need to play keep ball for a few minutes and get the composure back. The changes in the back line won't help that though.

Would be keep ball on the back foot.. our linespeed is from the eighties

    ..

Smashing try for Italy. Well deserved

    Well deserved for Italy.

Cronin showing exactly why he's not trusted by Joe.
    2 lineouts crucially missed.

    Shíte. It was inevitable.

Don't understand why we go long at lineout. Just hit POM at 2 and maul. Win the pen and go to the corner.

    Toner badly missed.

Flicking between Tipp v KK hurling. Far better spectacle.

As I type Italy try. Ireland 6N 2019 heading into 2007 WC territory.

We look really poor here. Not holding our shape and countless errors. Plenty of poor decisions also.

Fixing the lineout will help but this is reminiscent of 2013.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,221 ✭✭✭A-Train

Shambles again, shocking 6 nations so far. Hopefully get all the crap out of the system before the World Cup. Hopefully not wishful thinking

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 643 ✭✭✭duskyjoe

empty the bench Joe- well done Italy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,818 ✭✭✭Inspector Coptoor

    Cronin’s Lineout darts are dung.

RK has defo lost that half yard of pace.

Now the game could turn into an arm wrestle

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 197 ✭✭Stone Gossard

Cronin showing he's an impact player..and not a starter

Forwards are the problem. When they go through the phases we look good, but when Italy have possession we're making crap decisions. Pom and SoB have been very poor in that regard.
