The real quandary for the lefties is does their white guilt trump crimes against women.
Immigrant rapes of women is somehow tolerated by the extreme left.

Just like does their need to be seen as loving all followers of Islamm trump their support of gay marriage . It's a real quandry for them.

I'm literally just after reading that and in shock came here to see if it had been posted.

Those interfering tools should have been turfed off! They should be named and shamed.

The people on the plane didn’t know, and they weren’t told. Their actions, while daft, were well-intended.

One obvious solution would be for the accompanying officers to be able to share some details of why the deportation is taking place (e.g. serious crime conviction). However, that in itself could cause panic and noise from passengers, so maybe not a good idea.

IMO, it seems that there needs to be a better protocol established for the logistics of deportation.

or they could just let the police do their jobs, there was no "well intention" . this was a case of interfering busybodies who probably were doing it for the kudos to high-5 their pals.

I only hope the daily mail track them down and out them.

maybe they should have just sat down, plugged in their earphones and minded their own business.

Got to love the right, only interested in sexual violence when it can be exploited to blame people of colour or ‘foreigners’.

They could, but people rarely do that. Look at us all here having our opinions about everything.

And in a weird way, it would be even worse if everyone minded their own business all the time.

Whenever I see "The left" being described as if it were some sort of organisation of hive-minded individuals, it's often a sound indicator that someone is talking nonsense.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

The plane incident in Sweden was similar, except the girl knew he was a violent criminal

    https://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-advice/travellers-stories/new-details-emerge-about-man-heroic-student-was-trying-to-defend/news-story/5d589fb3178eed9972ed24511b2edf35

Good to see in this incident that the media are getting with it straight away as opposed to the Swedish incident, where they were all glad to report the stuff on the plane but went missing when they found out why he was being deported

As a result of their opinionated ignorance, the rapist is still there.

The guy was accompanied by Home Office Security.

If you saw a prison van with criminals heading down to Portlaiise you wouldn't hijack it to set the prisoners free to go home to their families.

People should have the Cop on to know these people know what they are doing and why they are doing it and just leave them to it for the safety and security of all.

If the security had said he's a rapist, someone else would have said it's not appropriate to speak about the guys reputation.

Reminds me of the way most of our country nearly wet themselves to protect the Muslim brotherhoods member Inrahim Malawhi, what a joke

Of course given that’s it’s the Daily Fail, it could be simple lies.

Once brexit kicks in they'll be coming here instead - lovely!
Will help keep the homeless industry going though - which is good news for all those making a living out of it!!

It's probably a consequence of a massive breakdown in trust between the british government and the electorate - when people hear about what happened to the Windrush people, they tend to be a bit suspicious about why people are being deported.

Do adults actually think calling the Daily Mail "The Daily Fail" is witty or funny?

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,519 ✭✭✭✭dudara

The prison van isn’t the same situation. There aren’t 100+ people sitting inside the van with the criminal. It’s a closed environment and the officers have control over it.

A plane is an entirely different situation. 100-200+ people, who are more excited than normal because they’re travelling, going on holidays, have had drink, are nervous flyers etc. Then add in the tendency for crowds to do stupid things that an individual wouldn’t do (mob mentality). It’s going to be a challenging environment, and it got out of control in this case.

The abundance of threads about "lefties" is incredible. Where's the equality? We need more threads about righties and the ambidextrous!

I honestly don't think most people in Ireland bought the whole Ibrahim halawa I was on holiday BS....come on, at least anyone I talk to.

This is fairly ridiculous as a story what the hell do these people think they are playing at!?! The dude with the phone filming it all is the most irritating of them all. Mind your own business eat your food and watch some in flight entertainment.

Having said that I don't know if I would feel comfortable on a flight with someone who is a convicted rapist being deported.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

Anyone getting deported now will kick off and start telling everybody around them what's happening. Why wouldn't they, they have nothing to lose by doing it. Countries are going to have to start using charter jets again.

The EU as a whole will probably have to invest in a jumbo jet and just do collections and drop offs. We can call the plane "Con Air"

Deportation is already a pretty expensive process without bringing chartered flights for individual passengers into the mix, which would be the only alternative.

Judging by the general standards of AH it's extremely original and very funny.

Around here jokes seem to get passed around until they either die of exhaustion or fossilize into cherished monuments (yore ma's an atari jaguar*).

Got to love the right, only interested in sexual violence when it can be exploited to blame people of colour or ‘foreigners’.

    this just isn't true.
maybe you should read the papers more...there are regular outraged pieces on convicted irish rapists being freed after their sentence...
maybe you've missed the mass hysteria over a certain larry murphy - he is white and irish….is he not?

many on the right have an interest in evidence and convictions rather than half baked allegations and a rush to "believe her" as all costs.
You could call it law and order but I guess maybe such quaint ideas on fairness were lost in socialism 101.

In case you didn't know, your hero on in this case is a convicted rapist.

Did you see that rain yesterday? Do you know who's fault that was?...LEFTISTS!

I couldn't find my car keys this morning, do you know why?...LEFTISTS!

I banged my toe on the side of the bed the other day…those damn LEFTISTS!

I'm in a constant state of fear and anger...yeah you guessed it, it's all the LEFTISTS fault.

    *head explodes*

    Much like the nonsense above.
Got to love the right, only interested in sexual violence when it can be exploited to blame people of colour or ‘foreigners’.

If this guy was outed as a rapist on the plane, he could've been seriously in danger from the public. I wouldn't shed tears for him if he got a few clouts but all those saying the info should've been relayed to other passengers (eh why, btw?!) would be the ones up in arms over his lack of protection. You can't win anymore. There's a sense of we all deserve to have our say for every little thing that happens nowadays, a massive sense of entitlement and self importance.
