Toned down to f*ck would be my guess.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

Well it's not on network television so they will have bit of leeway but yeah it will definitely be toned down

For those who haven't read the comics, and isn't particularly spoiler-phobic about this show: what is it that's going to be too much for even The Boys? OBviously spoiler text the answer :D

Probably obvious with no specifics. Spoilering anyway:
Basically, it's pornography with several characters being naked for much of the arc.

    Definite Spoiler:
Hughie also gets kidnapped & raped by Black Noir.

Whener show makers over hype specific episodes they oft turn out to be the most cringey and disapppointing, bit like those click bait "you won't believe what happens next!" headlines on web sites

"You have to watch season 3. Episode 6 will shock you!"

I doubt it. The comic arc is like a semi-animated version of a porn site.

That was my clickbait impression. Maybe I should've included a picture of a woman having a wardrobe malfunction on her wedding day

I don't think it's outrageous to suggest that The Boys has traded a lot of its viral energy on the shock value - the clickbait factor if you will - of its content. There have been various scenes and moments that kinda felt like deliberate strategies of "ok, this will get them talking", not really serving any purpose except to make the viewer go "crikey". Huge, extending prehensile schlongs kinda tip the hat in that sense :D

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and speculate this off brand Captain America will be a depraved human being, in a highly original route taken by this show. He'll no doubt eat a baby or somesuch.

    :pac:

Someone's a little cynical. I've actually just cancelled Prime. £7.99 a month seems too much for just this show.

Ah it wasn't meant to be _that_ cynical, but this show kinda has one speed with its heroes that definitely got a little stale. And having watched Invincible, I know which bloody, adult superhero show on Amazon I prefer now.

Should probably have watched that before cancelling Prime. The "Think!" meme was annoying me though.

I think the original Boys graphic novel is fine but I don't know what sort of plan, if any there is for the series.

Considering they bought mgm and now have access to 1000's of movies and series, i will be keeping mine.

Huh, learn something new n all.

Still, definitely a a great show that retroactively made The Boys seem shallow on comparison. JK Simmons as Omni Man was fantastic.

Is it finished or are they making more? I'd never heard of it until the meme.

There's at least a season 2 coming, maybe even renewed for a third already it was a big hit I believe. To me, it hit the crunchy gore of The Boys but remembered to include actually interesting characters you, if not like, then feel compelled towards. The Boys plays it too broad to make its cast even fundamentally likeable (bar homelander), whereas Invincibles own are almost all interesting in their own right. Loved Cyril, a fantastic "grey area" operative played by Walton Goggins.

saw Invincible when it first came out and thought that looks interesting but the end of the first episode blew me away

Revenge vet Nick Wechsler is suiting up as the supe Blue Hawk, additionally, Miles Gaston Villanueva (Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders) will play Supersonic, while Sean Patrick Flannery (Dexter) will portray Gunpowder. All three characters are original to the Amazon Prime series and are not part of the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comics on which the show is based
