The last item is preparing for dispatch with an estimated delivery for Tuesday of next week! A week!!

I’m not impressed at all with the delivery times. Is it worth getting onto chat to complain?

I haven't put in the order yet but I'm getting the same estimate. Three books, all dispatched from Amazon with the Prime logo, one would be here Friday but the other two next Tuesday. What's the craic there, is Prime two day delivery or not?

My heart sank when I hit the tracking button and saw it was with I-parcel. Read some bad stuff about them on here.

Yes there is some irony putting i-parcel and prime delivery in the one sentence.
Personal experience, of approx 30 deliveries involving i-parcel NONE ever arrived the day it was supposed to, it's usually about 3 days after Amazon's expected delivery date. The only "positive" experience I ever had with i-parcel was a battery charger which they failed to deliver, after a couple of weeks, Amazon sent me another one, then a further week later i-parcel arrived with the first one.

make sure you all complain to amazon about i-parcel.
I've slated amazon both to online support and on twitter over using them and I got a free month of prime plus calls from amazon today promising to follow up with me tomorrow if it doesn't arrive.

I've ordered something on the prime sale (air fryer ) it's expected to arrive Monday, nothing mentioned yet on who is delivering it but if it's I parcel will I message Amazon straight away to complain?

Complaining won't do anything, I've been complaining about the German couriers they have due to constant delays/snail mail.. They just say they'll review it and I hear nothing back until it happens again. Its a shame because all the pc components come from Germany so I'm stuck either way.

My current order which I placed on the 4th, dispatched on the 10th (due the 16th) without tracking and I'm still waiting.. This was a high value item that they decided to ship without tracking. Mind boggled.

Thanks for that, I downloaded the app and was able to view my account. Just emailed the request for Prime Student to Amazon there now. Saved me waiting another few days for the physical card.

You don't need to sign up for any course they don't check, just select ecareers, my last card never arrived was sent twice through parcel motel, reckon parcel motel chucked it as spam.

I copped that as well after I applied for the NUS card, it never asked me for proof of the course I was doing with ECareers and Amazon only needed a photo of my NUS card to set up my student Prime account.

Anyone know how to confirm if you are getting Amazon Prime Video from the UK rather than Ireland?

This link might bring you straight to the page. Log in first https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/mycd/myx#/home/settings/payment

    amazon-student-verification@amazon.co.uk

    I literally wrote the following:

    "Hi,
I would like to change my prime account (xxxxxxx@gmail.com) to a Prime Student account if possible please? I have attached a screenshot of my NUS Extra Card details for verification."

Got a reply about 2 minutes later with a link of where to sign up without needing a .edu email address.

Whole process took about 30 minutes! To the poster who asked about addresses, I used my Parcel Motel address for the NUS Card sign up.

Cheers, just did this and got sorted by emailing the address you referenced. Thanks a lot for the heads up on this offer :-)

If you can see the Batman VS Superman movie you're on UK selection of movies/programmes, if not then you're on Irish selection...

There's actually a pretty decent selection once you get over to the UK options, if only the interfaces on the apps weren't total junk.

Just ask Amazon to switch you over, I did it via chat on their site, only took a few minutes.

Thanks everyone, took less than 20 mins in whole process.
I signed up for prime few days ago only and now got 6 month free trial then 3.99 each month.

Bit cheeky but wonder if they do partial refund on prime I didn't use :)

How do you know if you are only seeing Irish content on Prime Video? Is there a UK only movie I can search for to test?

As some one posted above "If you can see the Batman VS Superman movie you're on UK selection of movies/programmes, if not then you're on Irish selection..."

I had to go on chat and asked to change prime location to UK and it worked.

OK, looks like I'm seeing the Irish selection. I can't find "batman vs superman" or "paddington 2".

For some reason the chat button is disabled but I sent them an email. Hope it's that easy. May as well check it out for the free month. I've often wondered if they offer a different selection compared to Netflix and if would be worth having it to justify Prime to compliment Netflix (our only streaming service).

EDIT1: Got a reply from the email and they said I already was setup UK.

EDIT2: Dumb question... do you have to set your prime location to UK and then use a VPN too?

EDIT3: I did verify my account > manage content and devices > preferences > country/region is set as UK

EDIT4: I'm just testing this on primevideo.com like i'd do netflix.com on the PC. Maybe that's the problem as I'm not using the app?

EDIT5: Okay, tried from phone. Got Prime Video app, browsed from store, pressed play, got an error message. Tried from Amazon Fire Stick logged in to Prime account. Found movie but could not play... Video Unavailable and then an error about location

I had to sign out and sign back in it show to the UK content, no need for VPN. I tried on web and iPhone app.

is there a movie or show that i can check against US and Irish Prime video? On my prime video page on amazon.com, it's showing as US but I don't actually know if I'm seeing all US content or just the Irish?

Yes they start the 6 month trial from the day you sign up and refund any of your original prime cost to your card
