We are heading toward that here surprisingly and that will do till Thursday!

Accumulated total precipitation for the next 10 days. View in the context that soil moisture deficits are >100mm at present in the south and east, plus a huge amount of what falls will be lost to evaporation before it is absorbed.

i.e. we will get around 10% of what is needed to restore order, at the very best.

Drought is not over, at least not for anywhere in the blue or dark green areas here.

Watching a band of organised rain slicing up to my near west but it is struggling to make it this far. Regardless, about 7-8mm from this over the last 18hrs. High humidity, which is killing, should give the rain a chance to soak into the ground as there is zero evaporation.

Well it's currently 24c there and no sign of rain.
The BBC were forecasting 31c for the tennis in Wimbledon today. Parts of the UK still holding onto the heat for another few days.

Fairly persistent light rain here in D10. Whole ground is wet and there are streams of rain coming off the cars. Whilst I'm happy to see it, I've an outdoor event all day today!

Lovely to wake up to the sound of rain this morning (I had the windows open all night because it was so horribly humid), and more importantly, the sounds of happy birds! It's been weird only hearing gulls and crows for the last month or so in the mornings.

Still no rain in Clondalkin. I'm watching out as if it was snow that was forecast.

Just back in from standing in the rain - actual raindrops! It only lasted 3 minutes though. Gone again now. Hopefully that's not it.

Dark and wet but very muggy at a hurling match in Thurles. Rain is persistent but not heavy.
