Sarric wonders if they heard his earlier speech among the cannonfire, so he repeats what he said earlier,

"As i said earlier among the cannon firing, the dwarfs down south at the pyramid were very hospitable to us, and on the very night of our meeting we agreed to rid them of their slaver problem. We even have two reabilated ex-slavers here in our party who have given up the career to go adventuring with the rest of us. Discipibes of bandylegs I think.

I said that I was just surprised that your two groups are from the same race, so I enquired to the reasoning of this unwelcoming stance to our group.

Maybe under calmness I can get an answer, and we can defend your group from what you fear, this infighting between freindly forces is unsettling."

"Now, dragon, what is it you want?"

'What we always wanted. Entry into Dhurn Dharal. I suspect it might be prudent to speak with the local authorities here given our entrance.'

"We are the authorities...entry guardians, you have permission from us, no further questions asked. And we'd prefer to keep this hush hush, tell the towers further up we were testing the guns."

Mule continues praying. Karinth smiles wildly.

"I can feel it Sarric, he's almost there...this will be glorious, you ready?"

Sarric looks at Karinth, "Read the room dude, no, i'm not ready!"

Sarric address the speaker, "do you have a map of your city handy, so we can find a jewlerers and a good tavern."

    Karinth's smile drops.

"Apologies Sarric, perhaps next time" he eyes Mule "That's enough Mule, we'll be entering the city soon I suspect. Though you did very well"

    Vrakrash thinks for a moment.

'I would prefer to avoid more needless bloodshed for certain. Perhaps a number of you could accompany us? Ensure no more incidents occur?

First though, if you have a place we can rest up for the evening, that would be appreciated.'

    He examines the commander's axe.

'I will take this as spoils of the battle.'

    He turns to Sarric.

'The commander had red runes in his skin, I am not sure if these dwarves will explain why. Perhaps you, or Karinth can examine them? See if they have - value, or what purpose they serve.'

    Karinth answers quite quickly.

"He was a smelting druid, a Druid specialising in Fire and Metal, the tattoos are clear."

The new commander assigns a few men to accompany the group into Dhurn Dharal.

    Vrakrash laughs again.

'He tried to fight a dragon with fire!'

He turns back to the dwarves assigned to the party.

    'Ok fellas, shall we go?'

"Yes" One of the dwarves salutes, to the intense frown of the others.

"This way to the main gates...truth told your group is the second group of foreigners we've had lately...well the first group was one guy."

    'Lead on.'

    He pauses momentarily.

'Then... why refuse our party entry and let another through?'

"Well....it sounds racist, but that'd be you..."

The other Dwarves shoot him a glance as he leads the group up the giant mountain road.

'Dragon issues? Jeez. I'm not even dragon sized, I'm man sized. Sure, I breathe fire and all... any particular reason? Come on, I won't be mad... I think.'

    "A member of our..."

The other dwarves look at him sharply.

"Oh look the gates" he says with relief.

The massive gates of Dhurn Dharal stand before them. Over 500 feet tall etched into the rock.

"We don't open the main gates, we'll be entering through entrance 234, the other foreigner is there...I'm sure you can bond over your...eh foreignness I suppose.

Standard info, our city has sixty million inhabitants and extends 840 levels into the Earth passing through the under, lower and giga dark, till she passes out into the rock of the world within the world, where we have our embassy complex."

He brings them up a few flights of stairs that extend along the outer surface of the main door.

"Here she is entrance 234, any questions?"

    Vrakrash's mouth drops open.

'You mean this place extends into the darkest reaches of the world? And people live that deep? Tell me, I know you kind of turned your noses up at my gem before, but is there any place I could trade it? Also, the closest inn. I feel the need for some of your dwarven ale, and a bed to rest my head for the night.'

Sarric licks his lips, "dwarven ale, that sounds like a treat, yes please."

    Karinth steps forward.

"And your smelting pits...I want to know something"

"Of course, a rather boring place some say" the dwarf replies.

He knocks and the door unlocks.

Inside is a large room, a holding area of sorts.

"Ye all wait here while I inform the authorities."

He takes out a rune holds it to the back wall and a door appears suddenly, its outline springing into existence.

Within the room a tall man in chainmail armour kneels before a beautiful sculpture of dwarven quality. A set of concentric wheels rotate about each other, and a small mechanism pours water smelling richly of salt over them. The man radiates slightly, whether it is the fire moon outside or a quality all to himself is hard to say.

"Visitors." The man stands, turns to them, touches the wheel symbol on his chestplate which radiates bright light (OOC:light cantrip), and says in the most monotonous, box checking exercise way "Behold the light of Mesharum, a lone beacon of justice in the face of evil. All who bask in his light will find just rewards in the afterlife." The light fades.

"Well I'm converted" Karinth says laughing before slumping down next to the back wall.

'Hail, fellow traveller - come to visit this wondrous place? I hope you fared better with entering than we did, although we got in regardless.'

"Hail, I'm Iuric (OOC: you-rick). I gave them the speech and there was a few devotees present, unusual outside human settlements, and they escorted me here. Wondrous indeed but still people in need of aid and evil to fight"

As Karinth asks, the dwarf returns.

"It's like a long running family business, you can only hold out for so long until you're guilted into helping out." Iuric gathers his vestments and enters as the Dwarf instructed.

They step through the door and see the first few levels of Dhurn Dharal stretched out before them.

'Fame, fortune and adventure, my new friend. Hoping to cash in on some loot from previous quests also.

    And you?'
