There wont be a cow milked or a mass attended in conahy or tullarone for a month.

Pauric had a brilliant game but Shane was immense.

    Should've been MOTM.

This speech is some sequel to the county final.

Savage entertainment in Croker, both James Bergin and Shane Walsh played a captains part today and led by example. What a family those Walsh's are... and what a speech.

Fair play to Tullaroan, they had a few tough defeats the last few years, wondered if they would ever get over the line in Kilkenny. Great spirit in that club. Tough on the Cork lads.

    Shane walsh MOM no doubt

Savage game great win for both kilkenny teams.
Padraig and shane and mossy outstanding.
Looked like Declan dalton was using a goalie hurl
He remind you of bubbles only lazier.did anyone else think one of the tullaroan points was wide.

Yes. One attempt by FON ruled out by Hawkeye

Congrats to both teams and hard luck the two cork clubs. The conahy result was a suprise but the good start really settled them down.James bergin for a young lad played a captaincy role and really led by example. He had a very good year and hopefully he is rewarded with a call up to the county.
Tullaron took a while to get going and fr o neills were full value.Declan dalton is a serious hurler and caused alot of trouble.the game ebbed and flowed and it was unbelievable entertainment and maybe a draw was a fair result.Delighted for tommy but shane will probably get the headlines.Good to see mossy showing form aswell. Both teams will enjoy the celebrations but hopefully bergin, shane walsh and mossy can see a bit of league action in a few weeks.

Of the 4 teams today the unsung hero so far is Tom Phelan from Conahy. He played a superb game made a lot of his team mates look even better than they are. This guy has real talent. A Taggy only much, much more talented

We were of the same opinion leaving Croke Park. Definitely has something.

His direct running and blistering pace was very impressive alright.

Another who impressed me yesterday, especially in the second half when they needed him was Peter Walsh. The workrate from both teams in the intermediate final was immense, especially considering the time of year.

Comfortable win for Ballyhale against a very limited but spirited team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,244 ✭✭✭JJs Left Hand

Well done Shamrocks. Thought they were poor enough today but credit to Borrisoleigh for making it difficult for them. Thought the ball into the forwards for Ballyhale was, to be blunt, ****e. The forwards weren't great either though.

    Still, best club team around.

Fair play to conahy, tullaroan and ballyhale. Some
    unbelievable achievement for these clubs.
    Excellent stuff.
Any players from these clubs involved with the county hopefully get a few weeks break.
Just on another note we've had to wait 13 minutes for the 1st score in the football final. The way football has gone is cruel to watch.
Of course it's very well structured but very hard to keep people interested.

  • Registered Users Posts: 501 ✭✭✭kilkennyboy

If the sweepers worked for borrisoleigh and Waterford it would be copied by everyone. Same as happened in football with donegal.borrisoleigh hit so much ball into Mason and Mullen the lads didn't use it great but were never going to lose.

Great weekend for our clubs. On today's match Ballyhale deserved their win but I was a little disappointed with their attack. TJ and Colin were good and Mullen got 2 points in the second half which were badly needed when he got them but the rest were disappointing I thought. Patrick Mullen had a great game and Michael Fennelly was a bit shaky at the start but was immense after that.

Hopefully the county lads are given a break now and a slowly introduced to the squad. The Wexford match on the 16th would be a good starting point to bring them in.

Great weekend for our clubs for sure, congrats to Ballyhale. Michael Fennelly was motm for me, I thought he was brilliant today.

Would agree, shamrocks are an incredible team and their ongoing success is just unbelievable, but if anything they played beneath themselves today, thought they were very much playing within themselves and let a dogged but definitely inferior team give them a scare at the end.

That's not to run them down at all, on the contrary it's amazing that a team that clearly has another gear in them can win a second all Ireland on the trot. Wouldnt bet against them winning the county again this year to be honest.

Congrats to all three clubs,a brilliant achievement and a great reminder to rest of country that we are not going away, we still have hurlers in abundance.

It shows how good Ballyhale are that they could win playing very patchy.
I think their older lads are flying, it's the younger crew who look a bit jaded.
But most will still be playing Fitzgibbon over next few weeks.

Borrisoleigh were dogged and brave but it would have been a travesty if they somehow had nicked a draw at end.
It would also have created further unneeded KK/Tipp controversary if Borrisoleigh had won, given Mc Cormack and Maher got away lightly.
