If you were going to snatch someone you knew then this is exactly what you would do.

Wait for them at the dodgy part of their commute home.

I don't think you would do that at all if there was any sort of relationship between you. Apart from gang hits, hardly anyone gets snatched because there's no need if you know (are involved with) the other person. However if it was a sort of stalking situation, yeah probably then.

Thanks a mill - yes great to see this. I’ve donated now and hope any support available will help the family.

The video and pictures of him in a pub are not necissarly from Saturday, they are just him in a pub.

The article does howerver say he was seen in a pub Saturday, not sure how reliable that is, it's a tabloid after all.

From the Mirror...'chilling videos emerged of him picking up the quashqai' He looks like an absolute creep but the video is hardly chilling.

Anyway, thankfully his kids are so young, they'll learn about it eventually but they won't have to grow up in the immediate backlash of the incident. Maybe for their sake and their mum, they should go somewhere and start afresh.

I'm kinda glad to hear this in that it rules out some disturbing possibilities. I hope the note he left explains what happened.

Still not clear as to how he managed to murder this poor girl at Rathmichael at around 7pm on a Saturday evening without anyone hearing something/ reporting this. Not exactly out in the wilderness, almost suburbia these days.

And 7pm feels like afternoon this time of year on a nice day.

I'm guessing he had plans but once he realised he had been seen and was all over the news (assuming he had the car radio on) he panicked and decided to do what he did - Him not being seen near the gorse is probably fluke. I'd say 9 times out of ten, you would have been seen.

Obviously "all life" just doesn't include Jastine Valdez ahead of your bullshít agenda .
Posts are possiby worse than all the twitter crap combined.

Were the reports that the video of him in the pub confirmed to be taken on Saturday night? A few news sources saying it was :mad::mad::mad:.

Nicola Tallant on RTE made one good point about the abduction. The speed and precision in which he did it, could mean that he has done it before.

Very sad. Pure and utter scumbag.
I’d say he is the prime suspect in the attacks in Shankill and Bayview last year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 76 ✭✭kingofclay

'Early 30's and skinny build' Only thing is the attacker wasn't described as short which this guy seems to have been. He looks old in the suit picture, but there is another picture much more recent and despite being balding he doesn't look like he's that old.

Why ? Does his description match that given by the women in their accounts ?

Or just simple dot connecting ?

From Ballybrack and living in Shankill. So central to where the attacks happened
Some if the attacks happened in the middle of the day on a public street.
So similar enough to the way he grabbed the girl. The Garda didn’t realise a description as it was to broad

Gardai will perform DNA analysis to establish whether Mark Hennessy may be linked to the disapperances of several women in Leinster over the last twenty years including Fiona Pender, Deirdre Jacob, Annie McCarrick, Jo Jo Dullard, Fiona Sinnott, Eva Brennan and Ciara Breen, and also the unsolved murder of Raonaid Murray (17) in Glenageary, south Dublin, in 1999.

Gardai also currently cant find any prior connection between Jastine and Mark.

    Not sure what you mean?

From the evidence they've collected on those cases, they'll have performed DNA analyses on what they've found, and that data forms part of the evidence in those cases.

They then take Hennessy's DNA profile and compare it against them to see if there's a match. Pretty routine at this stage.

Forensics may have found DNA at the scenes, and check if any of them match his DNA.

There are no "scenes" for many of those disappearances.

And they have a general area to start searching now.

Annie McCarrick went missing in 1993 though. Hennessey would've been 15 at the time. Unlikely.

Unlikely but still very possible for a 15 year old to carry out crimes...
Look at the UK for example with the 2 10 year olds that obducted the little child....

    Crazy stuff altogether.

According to the news there at midday, the guards are still (so far as they can tell) under the impression that he has no known connections with the poor girl, and the abduction was completely at random.

Could have been any of our daughters, sisters, wives or girlfriends.

Ireland's a somewhat safer country now that he's gone off to meet his maker.

Think the posters linking him with reported attacks in Shankill last year. Bray is only about 1.5 km away so very conceivable.

Also, people always assume he must have struck before but there has to be a first time and by sounds of it, this may well have been.

By the sounds of it, it wasn't. She speaks a lot of crap, but that does sound more plausible.

I've watched the videos of Mark Hennessy that so many people find "chilling" and there is nothing weird about them at all. In the car one, he's obviously agreed to be filmed saying he's super happy with his car as some part of deal with the car salesman. He's just a bit awkward and fake as he's not an actor but he wants the free car mats or whatever is being offered in exchange for being in the video. In the second he could be any guy you'd see in a pub. Drunk and possibly being a bit of a dick but nothing that would set off major alarm bells. If those videos were in the media because he'd been killed in a tragic car accident people would just think he seemed like a normal guy. There is nothing about him in either video that screams murderer. Because that's the thing with many murderers, they don't go through life giving off creepy killer vibes.

Its crazy how many black Nissan Qashqai's i seen today.
It must have been 10 or more on a cycle out to Howth to collect my car.
A usually very uninteresting car has now become an image they everyone will remember.

It really could become Ireland's White Ford Bronco.

Sure Killiney Hill is busy with people at all times of the daylight hours. This is all great suburban Dublin, on a fine enough summers day. Where do you murder someone in a public place in this area in the early evening hours? Without someone hearing, noticing??

Maybe he did and just chanced on a quiet five minutes somewhere. But couldn't have possibly planned it so, the chances of being rumbled way far exceed the likelihood of privacy.

So now the tabloid media have all this stuff

Weirdo, Monster , chilling, creep etc etc. All buzzwords to disguise the fact they have little more than a Garda press release to go on and the rest of their "report" is filler and fluff.

Killers dont have 40 heads and blue skin.

Often pyschopaths are very charming confident people. Look at Ted Bundy.

I once briefly met a guy about a year ago. What struck me about him was he was extremley confident and proud and spoke in a commanding forthright way. Very noticeable his confidence.
I later found out the same guy killed two people in a drunken rage 20 years ago.

Point is devils dont go around with horns on their head.

The media will have a field day despite the fact they know none of the details.
