This Mark Murphy guy is hot! This debate is a farce so I may as well jump on the tone-lowering bandwagon too.

    The No GP seems hotter...

What GP's collectively have to say on this issue has noting to do with it afaic. They are in a position to recount how all of this plays out for them but it's doesn't make any difference to me what GP's have to go though to provide for abortion should I vote Yes.

In my opinion they are over-emphasising the importance of GPs in all of this. There will be Yes and No voters amongst them, like anyone else, because abortion is a moral issue, not a medical one. Some random GP’s opinion would have no bearing on my decision what to do with my own body. Especially that lady GP dressed in red, who thinks a 2 week old embryo is of equal importance to me, her living, breathing patient.

Many people respect the opinions of GPs. (I'm not one of them)

    Who are the infanticide brigade?

I see nobody trying to commit infanticide as that would be killing born children.

Do you know the difference between a born baby and a 12 week fetus?

    It depends on your doctor.

On the Last Word, the compassion is on the No side.
Dr John Monaghan said he would treat a woman if she needed treatment even if the threat to her life was three or four months away and there were no immediate threats to her life, Dr Louise Kenny on the Yes side said she wouldn't and used the 8th as an excuse.

So maybe Yes doctors are too conservative with treatment and the No doctors aren't.

Did you completely miss the part where the ethics committee of the hospital didn't allow a termination of pregnancy in Michelle Harte's case. Prof. Kenny has indicated many times that termination was the preferred option in this case but she was prevented from doing so.

I’d rather hear from women who have been harmed by the 8th, than 15 minutes devoted to the opinions of GPs.

I think No have come up with zero solutions here and as a result will lose heavily.

So yeah 50/50 split my hole. Nearly all these GPs are quite clearly on the no side.

Claire is not running a balanced show tonight. Not sure whether that's her intention.
