On Amazon UK at the minute, you can buy a charger and cable (two separate purchases) for £12.50.

Had a look at them on amazon, they say genuine original but some reviews state that it only worked a few times. I'd still be a bit wary, but it's up to you I suppose.

Buy off Aliexpress, here is the link. Have bought a few for my op3 and they all work fine.

I'm thinking of returning mine, it appears OnePlus removed do not disturb mode from stock android. I can't live with a phone that wakes me up during the night every night. It's a basic function that every €50 Android has.

The only option I have found is to fully silence the phone at night using the hardware switch which won't allow important calls or messages through.

Even the POS base model Huawei phone can schedule which times certain apps can send notifications but OnePlus decided to remove it to justify having a hardware switch.

I'm actually feeling sick that I spent €600 on a phone that turned out to be a worthless piece of ****.

Turns out they plan to fix this in an update but until some unspecified update I've manually turn off notifications for every app individually at night so I don't have to risk missing important stuff or try to sleep through group chats

Flick the slider to the middle and hit the gear icon.

Did you do that one a OnePlus 6? It's not showing up on mine. I installed the update that was there during setup so we might be on different versions

No One Plus 5. It's been on all my One Plus devices like that. I'm on 8.1.0.

What shows up when you have the slider in each of the three positions?

Silent, vibrate and ring. I hadn't realised they announced they removed do not disturb from the OP6 after apparently getting a lot of complaints that it wasn't completely silent or something like that.

DND is there for me (see attached). Unless you mean the scheduled feature, which they are restoring?

Obviously it will depend on usage but how are people finding the battery? I'll be using the dual SIM feature, not sure how much of an effect that will have...

I'm happy once I can get through the day to be honest but bought a dash charger for work anyway.

You will be grand...mine works almost 1.5 days and have 10-15% left...

Yeah I meant scheduled DND, it's ridiculous that they took it out. And I did mention that they were restoring unless that didn't post properly. I didn't realised it could be turned on manually if you pull down on the screen twice, I'll still have to remember to do that every night. I still can't believe they made such a ****ty phone for so much money.

Reviews have been universally positive. As is always the case, it's the best phone in its price bracket by a mile whilst not managing to quite match the best of the best from Samsung/Apple etc. However, on a lb for lb basis, it's clearly one of the best phones on the market.

Don't really get where bile like "****ty phone" is coming from.

Talk about a complete over reaction.

Yep it's definitely a ****ty phone because theres no scheduled DND. The lack of that one item makes everything else about the phone crap.

I wouldn't like to see what you'd say about a car that didn't have a mute button for the radio :pac:

I just don't get the reason behind the terrible design decision to remove it. It's not like they chose not to add a feature, they paid a developer for their time to remove this feature. And after being woken up two nights in a row by non essential notifications I'd rather have paid the extra for an S9 or gone the other way and gotten the new Nokia for much less neither of which have the issue. It's a good phone in lots of aspects but I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it at the moment.

Really? Because of DND? Which has frustrated people for years since it was first brought in?

What version did you buy? I'll buy it off you.

If it frustrated anyone it was because they didn't understand it or set it up properly. I bought extra cables and a case and some other things so there is no point in selling it. I've filled out the complaints/service request form and see if anything comes of it other than that I'll just wait for the update.

Can you not just slide the switch up to silent mode? I'm not fully understanding this whole thing. If you have vibrations while in silent mode there is most likely a setting in sounds to disable vibrations while in Silent.

I need to be able to get calls off select people work for example during the night while everything else is silent which every other phone can do but OP decided to remove it. I'm not going to post any more about it. For me it's a key feature that I can't use the phone without that is missing, others don't seem to think it's a big deal.

Jaysus do you not realise Android is infinitely customiseable? Look on the Play Store for anything you want:

So I decided the time was right to make the move from Apple IOS to Android via One Plus 6. I have been using an IPhone since the 3GS up until The iPhone 6S Plus for the last couple of years, but the idiotic decision to drop the headphone jack and constant price increase with very little innovation has convinced me to move to Android and One Plus’s OxygenOS seems close enough to stock android without the bloatware added by the likes of Samsung. One thing holding me back was the camera a freind or mine got the 5T and said photos were crap on it but from accounts on here and YouTube reviews they seemed to have rectified this somewhat with the 6. Also I wanted the big screen and this tics that box. The audio quality from the built in DAC via the headphone jack gets good reviews also. I am sure we will have a 6T in a few months with wireless charging and possibly a fingerprint reader built into the screen (something announced on one of the Mi8 models releasing soon) but I can live without either of those.
So 3am this morning I ordered the piano black 128GB version with the nylon bumper case using one of the referral codes from the other thread.
One thing I’m worried about is transferring my contacts photos data etc from my iPhone to The One Plus any suggestions?
So goodbye Apple and hello One Plus I hope It will serve me well for the next couple of years!

Anyone upgrade from the 3T? Hows the audio compare, speaker and 3.5mm?

From what I’ve seen in reviews speaker is one of the weak points of the 6 but what I’ve seen and read the dac in the headphone jack is pretty good. How was it in the 3T?

Think of it more as transferring to Google's ecosystem than moving to a OnePlus phone. I'm pretty sure you can transfer contacts (through exporting) from your iCloud to your Google account. Once they're there, they're always available on the cloud, through whatever device.

    Possibly the above will help?

Possibly, but OnePlus has its own contacts app. You want contacts backing up to Google account rather than anything belonging to the manufacturer.

Thats not a contact app which is posted..looks like the phone is too advanced for you....better avoid it....

Also contacts in oneplus app get uploaded to google !!!!

Thanks for the needless patronising there. I've been using Android for nine years and have been using OnePlus since the One. I'm familiar with how things work.

Great job pointing out that the link posted isn't a contacts up. It would probably have been better if someone has suggested it was, but good try anyway. I'm unfamiliar with how the OnePlus Switch app works as I've never used it. Everything of mine is backed up to my Google account, which makes all transfers between any Android device infinitely easier.

I think i mixed up couple of different posts...apologies....i used google only and oneplus app syncs to google...

The big positive of the OnePlus Switch app (and indeed most of the manufacturer switch apps) for me was that it allowed me to bring my SMS history - unless Google have changed something since Android 6 (which I upgraded from), SMS does not sync via the cloud for most phones. The vendor-developed switch apps take care of those kind of gaps very well in general, OnePlus Switch being no exception.
