I bought a new phone. It's fast and the screen isn't nearly opaque with scratches. And the young lad in the shop didn't treat me like a doddery ould wan.

Today I closed my dole claim because it was my first day in work. Can't even explain how happy I am.

    Best. Day. Ever.

Was delighted to enter the kitchen and be greeted by the scent of sweet pea gathered last night. Actually, the whole garden was a trail of pleasant scents last night.

A day off from work and the morning to myself as my daughter is at kids camp.

Walk the dog, read, meet a pal for lunch. This is a rare treat on a Tuesday.

Music that perfectly matches your mood. This morning, Yann Tiersen, I'm looking at you (and in case anyone wanted to listen to it, too, it's the "Goodbye Lenin" soundtrack).

Also, someone left two surprise pots of flowers on my doorstep. I think I know who did it, but I'm not 100% sure. I love my friends, they're exceptional people. :)

Closing the door behind me and shutting the world out.

Oh and doughnuts and tea coming up shortly with some binge TV followed by an afternoon nap.

Deserved after a 6am start of gardening, cleaning and a quick trip into town.

Discovering great music from TV. Watched Good Girls recently on Netflix. Polo and Pan have some lovely stuff. Not my usual genre but really like it. Not sure if they are well known or not.

Half way through the first of my three summer courses. I'll hopefully have it finished by tomorrow. Hopefully get all 3 done by next week and that'll give me 5 days off next school year. Yay!

Awwww! I remember my first camogie match. I went to support my older sister but they were REALLY stuck for players and I had to play against girls 5 years older than me. As it was unexpected and my hair was so long, I looked ridiculous - someone had to come in with bobbins during play to tie it up. Used to love camogie!

I see some posts in fb from parents giving away their kids school books and uniforms.
This kind of awareness and recycling makes me happy.
