Nice. They are beefy rods and look to be high comp pistons. Not bad, she will rip.

Being instructed by GP to self isolate until I'm tested which should hopefully be in the next few days. Have had a cnut of a cough the past couple of weeks which I can't seem to shake. Quiet sure it's only bronchitis but can't take any chances. Board out of my tits already. :(

On a funnier note I seen this earlier on :D

Can’t help but think used car prices are going to take a serious hit in the coming months. I would say a lot of people who planned on changing their cars will put it on hold.

Saw a post there recently a dealer in the UK had an offer last week from We Buy Any Car for £32k on a Rangerover sport, they are offering £16k for the same car today.

    Jaysus I hope they're not high comp, I chose 9.0:1 and I'm aiming for a 1000hp :pac:

Why didn't you get high compression pistons. You would get more power at each stroke.

It's not as simple as that. I'll be running 1.7 to 2bar of boost on high, and at that level you don't want high compression. With our fuel being 95RON, I'd experience too much knock at a higher compression and that's a killer in an RB as it is. I won't be running race fuel or ethanol so it'll be reliable as it is on about 1.2 for low boost.

There'll be much less folk looking for finance to buy cars and much less finance given out ......... plenty choice and probably value for anyone actually buying though.

If it's anything like the 1000bhp red GTR that Si lad had, it won't be great. Think he ran out of juice on the quays sitting in traffic once, so it'll be thirsty.

I have a VRT inspection at 8 tonight, I just looked at the closing time today for the NCT centre and it says 8.10. Surely a VRT inspection would take a lot longer than 10 minutes? Also what happens when you go in? Do they just take all the documents and car off you and you leave them do their thing?

Just give them the keys and paper work and wait for the final bill, 15 minutes max

I've officially reached the end of interesting youtube car videos after not even a full week of work from home.

It feels weird to be at home for so long, I can't remember the last time my car didnt move for a whole 24 hours!

Have you seen my review of the Chevrolet 1503? I normally do tank reviews, but this seems to be being fairly well received.

Fúck sake and some cars don't even have a dip stick.

You're joking. Is there an alternative like a glass see-through level?
I'm trying to parse a car without one, and I'm not succeeding.

    Yep.

More Forgotten weapons to come. Apparently he has a complete set of current Irish Army DPM. I still have my older solid green Irish gear. He has access to a Steyr AUG and USP, I own an FAL and Hi-Power.... There is opportunity here, assuming air travel is still a thing in about three weeks. Though I guess I could drive, it’s only 12 hours.

There is estate building ongoing around my place, there is very heavy building dust up in the air, literally walk out of house and it feels like you're in middle of sandstorm in desert.

I can't see anything in my car, I can only drive thanks for wipers on front windshield, rear and sides are just pure brown.
Just wondering - is there anything that can go wrong? I know air filter in intake is exactly for this purpose but is there anything else that can **** up?

I am not bringing car to car wash as there is no point, next day it will be full of dust and mud again.

I've been long subbed to your channel. Very informative. I love the Chevy with Army green, with Chrome bloody everywhere. Did the word chrome lose all meaning for you MM. :D

I'd be given the engine air filter either a regular bow out with an airline, or replacing it at shorter intervals. If this dust storm a is like you say, you will see plenty of evidence of it on the filter., I worked in extremely dry dusty conditions, and it was mandatory to clean the Air Filters daily, before each trip, and some time's, once or twice during the day, if you got a chance. Amazing the difference between driving with a blocked and a clean filter.

    Oooh... Shiny.

Most of the Steyrs I have seen in the US are the A2 and newer variants with all the awful looking rails on them. Would be nice to see if his is a earlier model.

No, it'll be a brand new A3, which he happened to have on loan from Steyr, to vaguely represent current service. Interestingly, he's having trouble finding an ACOG which seems to be what the Irish are using right now. I have access to an original a couple of hours from here, but I don't see the point.

Question how much of a nightmare was it to visit kubinka museum? I'd love to go but I have heard it can be tricking getting around Moscow with VISA's etc

I've not been there in several years, and I had a 'fixer' in the area to help. You need to drive out about an hour, or take an expensive taxi and good luck getting back to town.

Part of the issue is that a lot of the collection has been split up. All the WW2 stuff has been moved into Moscow at Victory Park, and the rest of the collection isn't particularly 'visitor friendly', with glass barriers to prevent you going around or behind the remaining vehicles.

I'll have a look tomorrow, lets just say you can barely see in that dust from construction.

    Thank You.

Last Friday night around 2AM I was driving down the highway, 4 laner and it is essentially empty. We are on the way home from the pub, one of the only ones in the city. I have cruise set to a steady 120kmh and I have my wife and pal of ours with us, two of them are of course worse for wear but thankfully I am totally sober. About 3 mins before our exit we hear the most unmerciful bang and I look behind me to see a car smashing into a million bits.

In I pull and an R32 Skyline pulls in behind me along with a bike and a Lamborghini Gallardo. The three of them have been racing and the Skyline driver was looking at the bike and not the road and hit me at about 160kmh. Needless to say I am slightly scared as Police often take the local's side over an expat and I have about 4 locals surrounding me and a wife and friend in the car locked which is arrestable being an Arab country and all. I needn't have worried anyway as the two bucks in the Lambo are doctors and want to bring me to hospital and the lad who hit me is more worried given that his license has expired. Police came and he admitted fault so all was good but how nobody wasn't killed or injured is beyond me.

Fast forward a few days it turned out he had no insurance and the car was on Saudi plates but he just got his cousin to admit fault and went through his insurance. Also I am glad I went for a 2 ton Jeep over a car as you can see from the damage. My Jeep is being fixed by a 1st tier garage so hopefully will come back like new.

Fair ****s to the Jeep compared to the Skyline. It definitely did it's job at minimising harm to yous.

Thanks lads, we are on a similar lockdown but my job is closed. I took a Hyundai Tucson/ix35 2.4 yoke from work to keep me going. I miss my V8, it feels slower than an SDI Golf! :pac:
