what went wrong with Apple's Jade, was any excuse offered?
seemed to be nap of the day for most.

    That result is a shocker.

Even take out the Mullins mare and AJ still didn't win.

Reminded me so much of the Annie Power acca situation going into the race. So much money on that odds on treble I'd imagine.

Bookies got out of jail again.

Perfect record so far. Unfortunately it's a 100% losing record. Only backed two races though so no real harm done.

I'm looking forward to next two. With Mullins horses in good form Rathvinden will surely be backed very heavily. No Comment will drift and I'll snap up 12s and he will romp home.

Tycoon price will give Kennedy a fine spin in the last race and soar me into a nice profit. People will kick themselves for not spotting it.

Good luck for the rest of the day. Well done to those in the plus

She was all over the place during the race, trying to constantly jump out right and also tried to go down the finishing straight first time round.

Any fancies yourself or just gonna talk about races after they've been ran? DHWexford.

Disappointing run from Wicklow Brave, made a good run but came from so far back (last) and couldn't finish! On La Bague au Roi in the next, then Jury Duty and Testify. All e/w/. Apples Jade also.

All down to testify but breaking even for the day so far.

Im going to profess my love for Mrs Parfois. She is such a battler.

Great race there. Fair play to Rathvinden backers

    Just catching up on ITV+1.

Looks like Denis Bastick was on Benie Des Dieux anyway!

Anyway for a bit of interest backing Jack on Tycoon Prince in the 5.30. Its 20/1, but Elliot has to put some manners on this Mullins upstart.

I've thrown Le Rocher into the mix and stuck with Jack Kennedy as well for the last. Course and ground form for Le Rocher.

Best shout out I heard all day was a young fella in front of me for mister Whitaker about 20 yards from the line “please I’m broke”

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,137 ✭✭✭gazza1

    First real bet for Cheltenham

Mr WHITAKER 14/1 EW Close bros

Won at the track lto with going soft heavy in places so going won't be an issue and gets in here off bottom weight.
5 of the last 9 winners won lto.
12 of the last 13 had run in the last 45 days
Trainers only runner at the festival

    BOSH !!

Oh well! Not too bad a day, enjoyed it. Time to have a look at tomorrow's racing and see what damage can be done :)

My shortlist - will probably narrow it down even further.

Debuchet 28/1 (5 Places) (ew) & Paloma Blue 14/1 (ew)
    Petit Mouchoir 7/2
    Coo Star Sivola 6/1
    Faugheen 13/2 & Yorkhill 14/1 (ew)
    Jer’s Girl 14/1 (ew)
    Rathvinden 6/1
Any Second Now 6/1 & Mister Whitaker 10/1 (ew)

3 winners and 2 places. I'll take that for Day 1!
