Yeah I have run loads of missions now with either a drone or turret and the BTSU gloves and yeah they hit hard and are powerful...but...they are no way near my seeker mine build. That thing cleans up every time and the stats prove it. The only other build I have seen that comes near the damage I put out is one or two guys I have seen that are running the Eagle Bearer AR. But you have to do the Raid for that..

I see where you are coming with the BTSU gloves are they worth it as you have to loose a slot but I find the firefly can be handy with the elite heavies especially the sledge hammer guys. It blinds them for 10 secs and the team can wipe them handy. Also I have the eyeless talent on my AR that does 20% damage to blinded NPCs.

Also I find by the time I have sent out my first wave of seekers there isnt normally too many NPC's left to be bothered setting up a turret.

One thing and it might be my imagination but I thought mods were dropping more freely this morning. Got a load of them in the couple of missions I ran today. But that might be in my imagination:confused:

I've been playing daily challenging missions for months. Only a very few decent mods. I feel the BTSU gloves are overrated.. in a team mission... most rooms are quickly cleared by the team before you add status effect and then a heavy gun like the mines. I get top kill spot with a seaker mine and drone attack. Might not habe the same hit but volume of kills go right up.

Also frees up the glove slot with better weapon damage etc.

I'm possibly an odd style of player... maybe my age, mid 40s and with family, but I find it tough to play two games at once. I'm tired with D2 now... time to move on but it's hard to break my daily run around...

So now that I've actually started to play this game I have discovered that trying to build is absolutely maddening. Stuff is all over the shop. It's all just a sick ploy to get you to hoard more in your stash space.

At least I finally got a D50 drop to make the exotic pistol.

OK so I almost have a decent PvE build done. Challenging is quite easy now and I did a Lvl4 checkpoint which was more or less fine too. I am aiming to do the raid though.

How good should the build be before I raid???? Could I get away with chancing it, or should I give it another couple weeks trying to min/max?

And most important I suppose, does it require multiple builds like Stolen Signal?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,407 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I haven't done the raid but the most important thing seems to be 7 other people. You could always match make into the baby raid but I'm so disinterested in the concept I haven't even looked at it. You can solo up to the first boss just so you get an idea of how much harder the npcs hit.

The Raid is a DPS check. You really need to be able to put out a fair bit of damage quickly to take down the bosses. While it's not a prerequisite or exact if you're not putting out 1M+ on the firing range you're going to have a bad time.

You will also need a fair bit of survivability, some things like unbreakable and revive hive are more or less mandatory starting off. If you're going in with 200K armour and 100K health again bad times will likely be had.

Yeah get over 80 damage to elites and over 25k on your ar or 30k on your lmg. You should be good.
Surprised with the amount of ye wo haven't run the raid yet.

Hi all, quick question; I'm on WT2 and have about 320GS. I'm on the Sharpshooter specialisation, but it hasn't unlocked the rifle yet. I presume I have to find it somewhere? As I mentioned before, this is my biggest gripe with the game, very hard to find out what is required to get or do.
    TIA,
    Eoin

From memory the specialist weapons only unlock in WT5. They're not great with the possible exception of the grenade launcher in limited circumstances.

I've about 30 blueprints to go and even after I clear level 4 control points I get a blueprint icon (No description) in reward window but nothing appears in my blueprint inventory...

    Anyone else have this happen?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,407 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I stopped getting blueprints from control points long before I had them all. The final few came from handing in projects.

Those are settlement projects right? Is it supposed to say blueprint reward in the list? Not showing for me, just says SHD supplies plus random crap loot. Wondering if I still have any to get......

While waiting on the last piece of my raid build I decided to throw together a skill build. Went with those BTSU gloves at first but like some here have said, I found them very overrated. Your seekers have to land in a bunch of enemies but when does that ever really happen? And tried using fire turret for infusion but too hard to get everything working.
Went back and put on terminate gloves instead and burster firefly/turret to go with seekers. Far better results.

Now I just need to find the weapon talents to round it all off damage wise. Plus I'd like to have patience on my fenris knees along with explosive damage. Healing for skill builds seems to be a big problem in this game.

yeah I'm pretty sure at the end it was the SHD supply projects that I got the final few blueprints. I'm missing a mod one and have something like 92/93 which is driving me crazy.

I really like the BTSU gloves / fire turret combo. I'm missing out on the +20% explosive but making up for it with the two utility mod slots. The turret is just insane in the right spot and stays up for 5 or 6 minutes. Once you get the right mods in the right skills it can make a big difference.

I have the same guns without skill specific mods. M60 with unhinged and the P416 with something (it's just a backup) I'd probably be better off going full skill nut I like the gun damage and survivability where it's at.

Came back again to check the new content. For the most part it is good. Wish there was more. Ill still never forgive them for the lies about the raid though. But I am starting to enjoy the game a bit more now. Leaning into a red damage build now. Finding it hard to get any thing over 17k weapon damage though, just getting unlucky on gear roles I think.

Has anyone tried the baby version of the raid? Like is there any decent drops or is it just the same craic that you would find in a heroic?

I've no interest in the baby raid, they totally misjudged the community's view imo, well misjudged my view anyway. You can't get the Eagle Bearer and the Aces and Eights GS, apparently.

I get my daily blueprint from supplies contribution still. But the odd thing is when I clear a level 4 CP, I get a blueprint icon in my reward window (but no item description in text) On a few occasions I go to blueprint vendor straight after this in whitehouse and the PS4 crashes... :(

Its an issue persistant for many patches now. Silly really - why place a blockage to complete the collection?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,407 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

It really is a feature of "live service games" they fix something with a patch and it breaks six other things. Remnant from the Ashes patched something last week and 100% broke the game for PS PROs. Battlefield has been renowned for it for years. If it didn't make me so sad it would be funny.

Yeah but the problem is the fire turret is complete ass 90% of the time. The firefly can be fun here and there but after playing tactician for a few days you can't beat the good old normal turret/rolly balls combo. It's just a shame Division 2 makes you jump through so many hoops to get the damage up.

And there's FAR too much RNG in this game. I never realised it until I came back and started building but my god it's awful. Such a scumbag design choice.

you really notice it when building. You'll get the brand chest you want, it'll have the right attributes particularly the one you want a high roll on, it'll have unbreakable you've been looking for and then it'll have a poxy red mod node that entirely destroys your build.
Combined with the fact that over 99% of the stuff you loot is immediately thrash it's totally frustrating. They do it to keep us playing but it's appalling.

my fire turret does fair damage but it's real selling point is crowd control.

Jumped into this again the other day hoping it’d draw me in but nope. I don’t know what it is. About a hundred hours in and just feel done with it.

It’s like the don’t understand the grind part of these games and what brings people back again and again.

It’s a shame as at its core it’s a polished third person shooter but what is there to keep you coming back currently??

Haven't played in a few weeks and I'm finding it hard to go back.
Getting the build right was fun in division 1 but tedious in div2.
I dont enjoy the missions either in div2 they are a pointless chore it seems, it just lacks the magic of the Div1.
Maybe its rose tinted glasses I'm looking through and I'm just getting old, I dont know.

My daily project blueprints have stopped last week, with about 20 to go to complete. Have most exotics including eagle bearer. I'm done with it now. As mentioned previously, devs far too slow to sort RNG and offer the player base reasons to stick around.

Shame... it's a cracking game world.

Maybe it’s just one of those put it down for now and see what they do with it in the coming year. Might get a big update that promises reasons to play again.

Look how long it took Destiny 2 to sort itself out. The latest DLC is supposedly very good stuff.

Hopefully it takes the Division 2 devs a little less time though.

Agreed... I've the year one pass so ill probably return again. I've a killer build so not sure it better loot would be the carrot.

Loving remnant from the ashes as the next game on..

Glad to see Remnant getting a shout out, fantastic game. Finished my first playthrough on Monday night and jumped straight back in. Excellent replay value and a steal at the price point it's at.

Agreed. Loving it. Its tough!! - I'm a seasoned Souls player and really enjoying it. My first playthrough seems to be devoid of decent mods so far so a bit of a challenge lets say! I hare to say it but I was stuck to Division 2 and its a relief to try something fresh.

Jumped back into the Division 2 (Season pass has added to uplay plus on PC) today and done the two additional missions (the zoo and the island). Got to the final boss at the raid in the airport but got wiped with a PUG. Ive no idea what to do at the moment, all the weapons and items seem to be the same and the stats are confusing (its been a while since I played). What should I aim for??

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,407 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

Haven't been on in a few weeks but if you've just come back I'd look to make a skill build. Seekers and something else seems popular.

Skill builds are boring as hell. Fire off seekers, wait a few seconds and fire off more seekers. At least with gun builds you get to shoot stuff.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,407 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

maybe but they're different from all the gun builds we've been running since launch

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators Posts: 2,449 Mod ✭✭✭✭Rob2D

Yay, completed my first baby raid earlier. Was just trying to get some experience and happened into a group where we just went the whole way first try. Only hairy bit was when me and one other guy were the only ones left alive to beat Buddy & Lucy. Other than that it was plain sailing.

Looking forward to trying the real thing soon. Hopefully before TU6 makes my build worthless again.
