    Afghanistan 123/4 after 33. RRR 7.0

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,906 ✭✭✭Barney92

Coetzer just about bringing Scotland home. 6 then 4 and then only need 3 to win.

Holder with his highest ODI score at almost a run a ball. West Indies win, convincing enough in the end, but a brittle enough top order showing.

UAE would truly need to collapse for Netherlands to win. That's a shame because it means our high run rate from the first win is unlikely to count.

    Afghanistan struggling.

132/5, Afghanistan need a miracle or two to win this. Then another few miracles to qualify.

Scotland through to the super sixes.

Will be a difficult side to beat. They seem to always have one lad who plays a big knock somewhere.

UAE will win which means almost curtains now for the Netherlands World Cup hopes.

Afghanistan will somehow still be in the competition even if they lose to Hong Kong as a result of Scotland beating Nepal, although they will need results to go their way.

Will be out if they lose today (seems likely) and HK beat Nepal

On the other hand Afghanistan an even trickier side to beat and all but out now.

The Dutch losing is a great pity alright

    That would put them out.
If Nepal beat HK though and lost to Afghanistan while HK also lose to Zim that could leave them all on 2 points and Afghanistan probably getting through on NRR!

And the rain stop play with Afghanistan 35 runs runs behind DLS (I think).

Is that game over with afghan loss or is there still a chance of them resuming?

If anyone would mind obliging me... how do the bookies treat a DL result? Was hitting HK pretty hard in running any time it went over evens. Afghans have been cack

A D/L win is considered a real win, bookies will pay out.

Has anyone got a link to how the table and actual qualification works?

Scratch that. Got it on wiki

Although a different format, only UAE are not ranked higher than Ireland in T20s from the teams in the above table.

In fairness, that has always been our weakest format. Also, there is a touch of us working our way through a couple of years of bad results.
