Such a shame a lot of the soaps on television have been disrupted by the World Cup. Thankfully, the Tory party is providing more entertainment than any soap opera ever did.

Cabinet split was inevitable. Pure cowardice and posturing from Davis and Johnson.

At least it means soft Brexit or new Government. Davis and Johnson never wanted a hard Brexit, they just wanted the political optics of appearing to want it.

Apparently, they went public and announced his departure before he had even submitted his resignation in writing. The bitterness within the Tory party appears to be quite intense.

It's incredible how much they've fallen in 2 years since May's arrival. They were absolutely cruising coming into the Brexit referendum.

Don’t think May has done a lot to stop the rot, but she was handed a poison chalice. Cameron got to neatly side step the disaster he caused and left who ever followed to catch the flack. As dense as Boris is, he had enough sense to sidestep that one.

Sidestep it? Johnson was going for leadership and had a good chance until Gove stabbed him in the back.

It's a bit early for it to be his turn.

Theresa May and Phillip Hammond sit in an empty cabinet room, everyone else has left. They look at each other sheepishly, knowing it is nearly time to swallow their pride and admit it's all over. You could cut the sexual tension with a fork. Theresa clears her throat, she wants to admit it to Phillip but she's finding it hard to get the words out. She decides a gulp of water might help her. She has to get up herself to get it from the water cooler in the corner beside the door, because her last intern handed her a letter of resignation only 15 minutes before. As she is standing filling her plastic cup, she feels the ground start to shake. Boom... boom... boom... louder and louder, ripples appear in the water cooler as the stomping approaches.

    BOOM, BOOM, BOOM.

    CRASH

The Door explodes forward, smashing Theresa with it into the wall. Ruth Davidson stands in the space it left behind. Somewhere in the distance, bagpipes are softly blaring.

"RIGHT YOU REPROBATES, LETS GET CRACKING" their saviour screams. Theresa lies in the corner, a long thin smile appears across her face. It's over now. It's finally over.

Turns out article 50 was actually a massive trap. No wonder the EU were so keen on Britain triggering it asap.

You know, I actually agree with her. Make Farage PM. Let him be the PM who drives the UK off a cliff. Why should anyone else be shackled with that infamy?

Boris says that May's Brexit approach is going to make Britain a colony of the EU. Isn't that marvellous? :D

public faith in democratic process now in danger

Why though? this is exactly what the people wanted when they voted....or not far off it in that they voted to leave and then they voted to not really give May much of a majority to do it her way.

Why are they making such a racket? Do sheep not sleep? Is it mating season? Is it cause it’s hot?

To be fair, people who voted brexit wanted a better quality of life. That's what it boils down to. They wanted their jobs, health and personal safety protected. The problem is that they were conned into thinking these aspects of their lives were under threat because of the EU.

Brexit hasn't impacted their lives yet, one way or the other. The weak pound and dire outlook for growth won't affect them yet. But more important than that, things haven't improved. And while they still subscribe to the EU being the baddy, they will push for a harder Brexit as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, May is trying to salvage what she can of the UK's economy by implementing a soft Brexit. So in the eyes of Brexit voters, she is failing them. Add to that, Johnson's latest antics have outed him as the transparently self interested **** weasel he was always been, who doesn't represent their interests. Gove is in a similar position, though perhaps a little cuter. And all the while discord within the Tory party increases the likelihood that Labour eventually take the reigns at #10, and they have fudged Brexit (justifiably) so much, who knows what that might lead to.

So it's fair to be a little dismayed if you are a brexit voter right now. Even if their naivety, ignorance and intolerance is the reason they are where they are.

She's the same journalist who wrote articles claiming Ireland isn't a real country and Britain can lay claim to it. She's a good example of the radical Brexiteer. A jingoistic, ignorant, arrogant arsehole. I have really zero sympathy for the chaos happening over there. Quite the opposite in fact

Garda sources say the officers in the car saw the incident happen and witnessed a member of the public pick up the gun, but by the time they had pulled over and got to the scene, that person and the bag with the gun in it were gone.

    Bat****.
