Kal rushes up to the door to see what remains of the person within. He shouts back at Goodie, 'What in all the gods names are you doing man? I thought we were here to kill a demon, not a man?'
    Khalem laughs heartily.

"Thank you for the concern young man. Prison usually hardens a man, but not you. Come, will we enter her lair?"

The man steps through the smoke out into the evening air, the sun setting on the horizon.

"Aye, now that's an eager group."

    He sniffs.

"Dwarrowtown craftsmanship. Good choice halfling, but I could take an arrow like that to the chest and only graze a few hairs.

A Nerosian! Wonderful, born warriors. A vampire, a thief, an Osinzir mage and..."

    He stares at Goodie.

"...a halfling who has drank potions of speed and size. This will do. I am Khalem."

OOC: The scroll is loaded with magical power, so you get it for free. You can still load your normal daily one.
    OOC:Nice. "Sleep" it is so.

I cautiously follow behind, looking around for anything out of the ordinary.

"As a side effect of my adventuring days, I hear the voice of the world." Khalem lifts his twin axes and pulls back a slab on the floor.

    A ladder leads down.

    "Me first, yyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooo"

    He plummets down.

Kal raises his eyebrows and glances at the others. 'I guess we're going down there then?'

He waits to hear Khalem landing and jumps down after him.

I'm apprehensive, and peer over the hole, can I see anything within?

Refreshed from her 8 hours sleep following her chat with death, Othegre laughs at the cleric.
"Scared of heights? Jump! I might even catch you!"
    She descends into the hole

No use staying up here on my own then, I take a breath and leap.

Cool. Cause Ekkie will sleep for another 8 hours, we can chat for ages. So... You preside over the forest. I planted a dead elf in your forest. Is he going to grow into an elf tree or something?
"No, elves spirits return to the woods from whence they sprang. They are more a part of this world than man is. But their bodies are poor in nutrients for trees."

The group lands in a large open room. A huge statue of death in the middle. His scythe touching the ground. A few dead Orcs lie about the place. The walls have hundreds of names on them. The dead of Clayton over the centuries.

There is door to the East, leading NorthEast. One to the West leading NorthWest. And one to the North leading North.

Kal searches the room for traps.

I set the grapple securely and lower my silk rope down the hole. "That should make it a bit easier to get out if we are in a hurry".
    I climb down the rope.

Neither Kal nor Goodie find any traps.

Ekbard smashes the statue and keeps smashing until it is just rubble.

"You've got experience then. Aye, the old animated statue, such a cliche, who designs these places?" Khalem wonders.

As Goodie searches the room they converse about the virtues of strong chests.

Othegre checks the orcs for signs of undeath and animation. Or life, let's not be morbid.

'So Khalem, which way from here?'

[OOC: am keeping track of the map as we go. Shall I post pics here or in the other thread?]

"I leave the choice to ye" he says to Kal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,862 ✭✭✭Mollyb60

Kal quickly steps into each door and checks for traps.

    'Anyone got a preference?'

I walk over and grab the handle of the middle door, before slowly opening it
