March is Saturday. Match is Sunday.

Unless they're planning to walk reeeeealllly slowly I think we'll be ok.

Can we please not discuss this any further on the Leinster thread?

    That is genius
you know what they say about march?
    spring ahead or fall behind

I thought he was far from England's best player of the 6N. Was a liability in defence and failed to spark England's attack.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, but one that's playing so poorly that a different 10 starting may be bad news for Leinster. He's also a better 12 than 10 in my view.

The way Farrell tackles is very aggressive and often targets the ball which leads to him missing a few but he’s very powerful in the tackle and he was more or less defending for 2 with ford beside him.. you can’t really say he failed to spark their attack when he was top try scorer and set up the most trys for England his teams failure to get over the gainline and no attack coach is why it was so poor.. in fairness he is probably a better 12 but because he plays so little at 10 In tests people forget how good of a 10 he is for sarries

He misses a load of arm tackles that are certainly not down to being too aggressive, more just poor footwork.

Rugby Union Weekly Podcast did a comparison of all Farrell games at 12 for England v Barrett at 12 for Sarries on missed tackles in very similar defensive structures over 2 years.
In an obviously larger sample size Barret missed 1 in 8 I think. Farrell missed like 1 in 2 or something crazy

I agree, he is to focused on the big hits and the big plays, than "what is my best action in this moment to win this game".Still a very good player. Honestly I'd be more concerned if we we're playing Exeter. Perfection is more of a compromise that actual perfection. Ask either JS.

Best use of the players available.

I never thought we'd be in a position where we'd have to start Fardy in the backrow but needs must. It's his best position too.

Fardy at 6, Lowe starts. SOB doesn't make it.

Big test for Deegan is called upon.

Very good team. Great to see Ruddock back, hopefully he can make an instant impact, huge game to come into after a long layoff but he's a class act. I think they've made the right call starting all of Ryan, Fardy and Toner. And Lowe is definitely the right call as well.

Farrell and Kruis both make the Saracens line up. I'm shocked.

Carbery over Byrne is interesting if not surprising

It's a bit ridiculous how much Itoje is getting flogged.

Good team. Bit light on the back line bench but not much we could do with the injuries.

The Conan injury made this selection pretty much the only real option unless they threw RR straight in after a few months out.

Shame SOB didn't make it. Would have been some forward bench. We're in big trouble if McGrath gets injured.

ROL probably the right call at 23 in terms of versatility but I'd rather see Byrne there from a straight back three option.

I wasn't sure what way Saracens would approach this fixture given their form in Europe and in general but Farrell and Kruis starting puts any doubt of their ambitions out of the way.

Pecking order behind Sexton also seems to be confirmed by this selection.

Thought we might have seen Adam Byrne for this fixture also. Larmour a real loss, showed his metal in midfield against England and I want to see him playing all our big fixtures now.

What do we think Fardy will do first? Smash Farrell quad or Brads cheek?

Intimidate the entire Saracens 23 just by having his beard stare at them.

ROL over Adam is a surprise and makes me wonder if there are question marks over Isa. I’d say you’re pretty disappointed if you’re Adam or Barry this weekend, both of them were amongst the few stand outs last weekend, although I have the feeling Adam is carrying a niggle in the knee, which makes sense if it was ligament damage because even after it’s healed it can take months before it feels strong. Would explain the lack of confidence going into contact.

Byrne covers 10 Carbery covers 10 + 15, don’t think this selection says anything other than Carbery is more versatile.
