What Netflix regions can you access with Getflix?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭jamescd

I tried getflix and it's a bit slow. I signed up to it and used it to access US Netflix. When I watch a TV show for example, it would load for like 3 - 5 minutes before it starts playing the episode. Sometimes it also buffers in the middle of an episode and I have to wait another 3 - 5 minutes before it resumes playing. Is this normal?

No this is not normal, I have been using getflix since last year with no issues of buffering

Which DNS do you use for US? East, Central or West?

I have the app on my phone and switch it on or off for USA Netflix depending on the content I want, this is the recommended way as advised by getflix

You typically have to made some extra router settings changes. I've seen guides online for it before.

Anybody have any luck with blocking Public DNS's on an eir modem?

Likely not possible via eir's interface.

Easiest thing is pick up a 3rd party router and set the eir one to bridge mode.
You could also buy a router that has modem capabilities and eliminate the eir one completely.
You'll thank yourself in the long run!

You should join the family while one is going, it’s cheap to have a second one going for a few weeks

The service I use is Windscribe. I use it for accessing multiple media sites and so far no issues. Like you I tried so many services.

I'd purchase the one month Pro and see how you get on with it. Either way if you do, let us know here how you find the service.

    Irish sub ended today.

Changed the email address on it to a dud one I don't use anymore.

Signed up new Turkish account using my original Netflix email.

Got a free month, and now it's only €5.20 a month for four screens. Fantastic stuff. Thank you Bargain Alerts!!!

Between this deal and the "student " amazon prime deal, I've saved a fair few bob over the next 6 months. Thank you Brexit and political uncertainty. I'll take the gains while I can.

My next bargain is that Vodafone "Data User Plan". Bargain Alerts on fire as of late. I'm paying Vodafone 15 euro a month more for less data / minutes.

Anyway, just got SmartDNSProxy for 22euro for 24 months (79% off offer after I ended my trial). Now have US Netflix, BBC iPlayer, ITV Player and more.

Thanks all... changed last night to Turkey - 4 Screen+HD has went from €10.99 to ~€3.60. The tight bastard in me thinks I should've have added my Revolut card to save a few more pennys! :D

This, along with my Boards Spotify Family Deal, is saving me a small fortune a year!
