Hmm, no commentary on EirSport. Will be an interesting watch.

8 mins and NZ have their first try. Looking well in control to me.

That catch from Ducuing was magnificent.

Didn't realise how much I would miss the commentary!

0-10 still, but NZ have put in to scrum 5 m from French line.

Inevitable try by Nahola of the re-set scrum. This isn't great to watch.

    Oh......a commentary has appeared!

Another try to NZ, making it look easy. France very poor.

Seem to have commentary now, not the usual EirSport lads thank God.

Nice try by France......lovely move by the backs....Teddy Thomas dives in.

France have a prop in the bin and the other off for HIA - not good with NZ camped on the line agian....

And SBW just pops in a grubber for Crotty to touch down.

At least NZ still knows how to play rugby. It's like we are Asterix and the Gauls, the last bastion of SH resistance, although the Aussies have their moments.

I expect the NH Empire to further spread its wings as time goes by.

New Zealand are reeking havoc..... top quality team try

Great great handling by NZ for another try.....in the pissing rain. This is dreadful to watch if you are French 5-31 at half time.

31-5 to the All Blacks at Half time - still anybody's game. :D

First 20 minutes were bliss. No commentator.

You could actually hear the conversations between the referee and captain. Unlike the Irish game when Donal Lenihan managed to say 15 sentences when 2 would do therefore blocking the more interesting conservation between the people who actually matter.

France will get a beating but they're using the opportunity to blood a lot of promising players.

    I believe......
In the event of foul play in a try scoring opportunity, the player who commits the foul is effectively taken out of the equation in deciding if a penalty try should be awarded. So yes it is a try if not for Sonny Bills intervention.

So the commentators are wrong and as usual Williams is an idiot.

OK.....switched over to the soccer for a while.....and now NZ have a man in the bin and the score is 15-31 with a penalty to come........slotted. 18-31 - this is more like it.

Harsh on whitelock, should not have been stopped as it was a clear kick

Dupont is so damn cool. Nothing fazing him.

Astonishing composure for a guy his age. Should have a massive career.

    Yeah.
France showing up a lot more than the rte studio suggested. Something about SA and France living on past reputation

France playing with great tempo, but they'll never win making so many errors. Very frustrating to watch.

Going to be a great last 10 minutes!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,078 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Pity the French didn't show up in the first half. No score by NZ in this half....with 3 mins to go.

Edit: NZ scored a try at the death so finished 18-38, but the effort of the French in the second half makes Tuesday's second test worth watching - it's on Eurosport 2.
