Much ado about nothing. Maybe force ten for parts of two counties for a couple of hours in the early hours tomorrow. A yellow warning for two counties at best.

First place of Irland to be hit by Brian, Fastnet lighthouse (recorded  102 mph /160 km/h  / 45.6 m/s - during Ophelia):
    https://twitter.com/FastnetLHouse
    Currently recording 51 mph / 82 km/h / 22.8 m/s.
100 km/h wind, 10 meters waves expected tomorrow:

Get ready with your cameras! ;)
Ok, Fastnet is not reachable during a storm , but Baltimore beacon is just 5 km away. Shot during Ophelia:

Ridiculously heavy rain here in Kerry for the last two hours, localised flooding already, not a puff of wind however but if it keeps up raining like this then it will get serious quickly. By far the wettest day of the year I would say.

Yea warm front going through, in the warm sector now I'd say.

Bucketing down here, reports of local floods.

    Rough night in store.

I agree with giving people fair warning for travel and outdoor work (particularly this weeks dangerous clean up work), but if this was a little later in the season and hadn't arrived on the tail of a major event, it would just be what my granny describes as a 'dirty night'!

Good excuse to get the fire going, bake and make stew

Ironically I think that this one might be downplayed for that very reason. Very gusty here (mid-Limerick), I wouldn't like to be standing under damaged trees.

Will the storm have passed through by tomorrow morning or is it expected to be around all day tomorrow. Was planning to head to galway for a 3pm rugby game tomorrow.
