Personally, I'd prefer to be playing on the Junior team of a big club than the Junior team of a small club. I'm not familiar with Redmonds but can't imagine it has the facilities of a team like Nemo (gym, hall, clubhouse etc). As a more mature player, that matters more to me than being able to say I'm on the main team of the club.

I don't know how to process this. But sounds like someone who doesn't play for any club. There's a gym every 300 yards nowadays. I'd say as a more mature player it's the old clubhouse and the few pints taking precedence. Doesn't sound like the jersey would mean too much to some.

Not much to pick from in Blackrok/Midleton game for John Meyler - OLeary Hayes has good potential should be given a chance, Luke OFarrell was outtanding how old is he now ?

Nobody on Blackrock side really stood for for inter county standard

Stephen Murphy hurled a lot of ball in midfield on Sunday. John Cashman at fullback was good in parts but when isolated one on one with Lehane he stood no chance and to be honest not many defenders would hold Lehane in form. Tadhg Deasy was causing Midleton full-back line a lot of trouble in the second half, a quick player could be a good prospect in the years to come

Luke O'Farrell got a load of free space, he was even collecting the ball from his half-back line at one stage and playing some great ball into Lehane who did a lot of damage.

Tommy Wallace was class, made some important stops at a time when Blackrock seemed to be getting on top.

O'Leary Hayes was a class act definitely should be considered by Cork Management. The cornerback Smyth and wingback

I was there Sunday. There was nobody really stood out to me that would be a major addition to the senior panel. The best on view were those already on the panel

Yeah I agree. The best players on both teams were players who’ve been on the panel or it’s fringes in recent years. I’d like to see Jamie Nagle back around the panel but other than that, unless Shane O’Keeffe comes back from Oz full time I think that’s about it. O’Leary Hayes looks a bit away yet from the weekend and especially from the Newtown game.

Luke o Farrell was outstanding on Sunday but his days are probably over at inter county level. Few of the younger players will need another year or two yet

luke o farrell is a super club player but miles off county standard. He was useless before with Cork.

Some win for the Barrs, keeping Carvery scoreless for the last 15.

Delanys drew their junior football county match with Ballymartle while in the second match in Brinny Brian Dillons drew with Kilbree in the junior hurling county.

25 euro into PUC for the hurling on Sunday, that'll really attract the neutrals not to mention students/OAPs at 20 is too much also

20 and 10 would be much more appropriate pricing. God be with the days when 20k and more would show up for a county final

    disgraceful pricing.

You can go to every match in Tipperary this weekend for 20 euro too just to show how bad the pricing is.

Great win for Delanys in their JAFC qf replay against Ballynartyle on a score line of 1-12 v 1-09

Heavy pitch, tough conditions, great win. It been a few years since I was there but they've added a nice 300 seated covered stand on the far side of the pitch, kept us cosy throughout.

Fantastic win for the girls of Glanmire today. First time in .munsterxand they have becone Munster Junior Football champions on a whopping scoreline of 6-20 v 0-01
They are the sleeping giants of ladies football in Cork, make no mistake about it. They have a huge and vibrant underage structure with so many teams achieving success. I fully expect to see them produce several regulars to Cork teams in the years ahead.
