There was a bit of talk on Sunday that these modern college “educated” boys need tactics and analysis . The previous generation of thicko farmers had no use for such ideas. Cork we winning plenty of all irelands with these thicko farmers. We need a few lads who are not afraid where they put there hands be it up a cows arse or into a heap of shyte. So I suggest we get a few of them for the half forward line. :pac:

That's an interesting point actually. I don't think the lack of farmer's on the Cork team is the reason we have not won the All-Ireland for so long. After all, how many on the Tipp or Kilkenny team are farmers?
I think the last farmer on the Cork team was Niall McCarthy of Carrigtwohill.

Yeah but 2019 Kilkenny are a pale shadow on the 2000-2015 era Kilkenny sides.Anyway Tipp are only 2 all Irelands behind Cork now.So in that context, i can see why you would be such an enthusiastic supporter of a failed management team. You know a manager has to go, when a supporter of a rival and competitor, is trying to argue that he actually was doing a good job.:D

That’s quite an angle to take on his opinion

Think Timmy McCarthy was a farmer

Anyone think tipp have won a soft all Ireland ?
Lost Munster final by 12 beat Laois you could say Wexford should have won ? After 20 mins yesterday no tipp forward had scored from play think that stage cats led 8-3. But fair play these are the breaks you can’t argue they have great forwards and a magician in Noel McGrath. Plus a strong bench which we don’t have.

I think Galway/Limerick would have given tipp a much better match than Kilkenny Galway must be really kicking themselves.

If you’re going to live in the land of IF , then limerick were robbed of an all ireland appearance

I said it before. If Galway and Limerick were good enough they be in the final full stop. If my auntie had balls she be my uncle.

I hate Limericks Gaelic Grounds, that fart sized small gradient main stand is just a joke, can be hard to get in or out of , we lost v Tip there in final last year- defender should have dragged the foward down near the end- I was screaming at him from the stand, we All were.
Might still go, but I just do not like the place.

Always was the worst ground in Munster. Never seems to get a atmosphere going for some reason.

Tipp will be buzzing after Sunday. Going be huge test but be savage if we pull it off

Denis Ring came across very well in his media interviews. Tough task but would be a great confidence boost to win it.

There is a late change on the U20 team.

Simon Kenefick comes in for Padraig Power

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,401 ✭✭✭Seadin

Cork u20s in serious trouble. 4-01 0-04 ffs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,461 ✭✭✭The White Feather

4 goals conceded in 8 mins. Tipp are really buzzing up front and look like getting goals every time they attack.

We look gutless in defense. Embarrassing

Cork hurling will never learn. We are going to get toasted here.

Game over. I can't understand Cork hurling anymore. This is beyond bad.

Worrying yes but plenty hurling left.

We have taken some great points. Just need to keep taking them and goal chances will come for us

We must get goals very fast if we have any chance of being competitive.

Tipp are mad for goals tonight. Hope it isnt a complete disaster for Cork

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,461 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Jeez that point for Tipp was well wide. Every point matters now before half time.

We have settled a bit now thankfully

    Shane O'Reagan constantly being fouiled

We arent going to come back 11 points down full stop.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,461 ✭✭✭The White Feather

11 points down at halftime but I am still a small bit hopeful. A good start in the second half and you never know. Unlikely but we live in hope.

I think we have a really good team with a lot of prospects for the senior team win lose or draw.

Take out the defending for the goals and we have taken some great points.Tipp came in with loads of momentum and caught us early and we are a bit shell shocked. If we can regroup and go again straight away then you never know

We know well we haven't a hope. I wae expecting better from this u20 side. We are making a big habit of losing to Tipp now.
