And then he did that Irish dance when collecting the cup.

If a sniper had shot him at that moment I don't think I have been upset

And he wasnt seen ever again in a Kerry jersey after that.

Looks like there is a facebook page created for a protest on Goughs appointment. I don't think this will end well for Kerry.

I remember the little so and so dancing a jig on the hogan stand steps an absolute thug made my blood boil nothing more it was a straight red card offence end of.

He even admitted it in his book. If a Cork, Dunlin or Ulster Lad had done it then they have been uproar

I remember 88 vividly late free by Stafford but in recent times they had their favourite referee Marty Duffy who in 2009 left Tadhg Keneally assault Nicholas Murphy in the first minute go unpunished.
Ref bottled it that day, Keneally knew what he was doing, assumed chances were low being sent off in the first minute, etc. You may be sure they’ll try every trick to try and stop the Dubs this year.

It will hurt them more if they fail to deny the Dubs the 5 in a row.

O Brien cleared to play in the final.. could you imagine if it was one of the Dubs cleared..

1988 AI final was a Kerry ref and it cost us. To make it worse he got the replay:pac:

And reeling in the years 1988 was on the tv tonight to remind us all again if all of that :(

You are dead right they will be up to every little trick in the book officials will have to be eagle eyed love to see Dublin do five in a row against Kerry it be so sweet.

Cork 0-3 Galway 0-2 15min. Cork against a strong wind and after saving a penalty

Cork 1-6 Galway 0-10 HT. Cork trying to run it out of defence and caught out a few times. hopefully they can use the wind in the 2nd half

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,088 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Cork 1-7 Galway 0-12 45min. Only 2 down but in a spot of bother. Finding it hard to get on the ball, still trying to run it out even though we have the wind. Gone 10 min since our last score

    2 down with 5 left

    Septic game.

A truly awful second half from Cork. But great credit to Galway, they swarmed the midfield and gave Cork nothing but problems.

Cork 1-10 Galway 0-14 FT. Galway deserving winners. Never left Cork into the game

True and Galway deserved it but Cork had 4 ridiculous wides in 2nd half.

Waited far too long to play the ball long. Too many short passes to go 10m.

Galway played really well though but we left that behind us. Had the wind and the forwards but we never used either as we couldn't get past midfield.

Should have been at least another 2 mins extra time though

I truly hope Galway beat Kilkenny in the final.

Couldn't understand why they kept short passing across the midfield most of the half. Played right into Galways hands.

Indeed all the best to the tribeswomen.Still as im sure you can understand and imagine, we are very proud of this team in Cork.Four all Irelands in six years, ain't bad going for any county.I think that's twenty eight all Irelands in camogie we have, compared to Kilkennys total of thirteen.;)

Players will be flying and there will be a massive Tipp crowd in Limerick on Saturday on the back of today. we really need to be on our game to win

Talking about the u20's, who are certainly good enough.

Hopefully we can win that. We need an u20 win. The seniors arent good enough at present. Need more impact players to come in to the panel. The panel is short of a few players at the moment. Cusack is loving this final result and Shefflin looks so disappointed.

Today showed we are miles behind in the physical stakes all over the pitch. We need a dominant full back, a couple of dominant half backs, a physical midfielder and some physique to support Hoggie. Apart from that, we’re grand :)

We often lost to Kilkenny in a tame and meek manner. We lost to Kilkenny 4 years in a row from 11 to 14. Dec Ryan was in charge for 11 & 12 and as much as I love Dec, he was never in the mould for management. Eamon o'shea in fairness to him was in hard luck in 13 and 14, but i cant help feeling the game was played on Kilkennys terms in 14, but thats what they do to you. Cody didnt win 11 All irelands for nothing. He could well repeat the dose in 16 days.

Can John Meyler be honestly singled out as the only man who suffered this type of defeat to Kilkenny??

Meylers term with Wexford a disaster??? the previous time they made an All ireland semi final prior to last week, Meyler was in charge  He done better or as good as most Wexford managers who proceeded or followed him.

Anyways my point is that he deserves far more respect than he is getting. Im not saying keep him there for life or anything but Cork fans need to be realistic. They need to fix things from the ground up and i dont think there is much tweaking needed, but you cant just blame the senior hurling manager when results arent going your way. its a more multi layered issue than that.

Yeah but 2019 Kilkenny are a pale shadow on the 2000-2015 era Kilkenny sides.Anyway Tipp are only 2 all Irelands behind Cork now.So in that context, i can see why you would be such an enthusiastic supporter of a failed management team. You know a manager has to go, when a supporter of a rival and competitor, is trying to argue that he actually was doing a good job.:D

There was a bit of talk on Sunday that these modern college “educated” boys need tactics and analysis . The previous generation of thicko farmers had no use for such ideas. Cork we winning plenty of all irelands with these thicko farmers. We need a few lads who are not afraid where they put there hands be it up a cows arse or into a heap of shyte. So I suggest we get a few of them for the half forward line. :pac:
