    rumours starting re Faugheen injury....

please please please say it aint so....... :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,625 ✭✭✭RivetingRoger

if u have a fiver spare....
and with doubts about faugheen now raring their ugly head
Yorkhill can be backed for the CH right now and 20/1 and Min at 25/1......

    2.50 AP on each
    Take a chance

    Price of a pint!

(personally still hope the machine runs and routs of course)

Surely there's zero chance of min going back hurdling? Jumps a fence fantastically well and with Douvan out he looks their live chance for the champion chase. Yorkhill is an interesting one, personally I expect him to pull his chance away over 3m at Xmas so CH could be a very real possibility.

Drift just reactionary stuff I imagine to the Douvan news.

I'm still sick I didn't take the 11/2 on offer before his comeback. I'll be sick either way anyway because come the day if he's still in one piece I'll be all over him.

Why would anyone have taken 11/2 before his comeback?

Personally I didn't think it was a great division that was contested in March 2017 and felt if Faugheen came back in any way near his old form he'd walk the field come March 2018. Still think that.

To go from 11/2 to what 6/4 after his return pretty much illustrates that point.

Faugheen’s price is irrelevant because he won’t be winning any Champion Hurdle.

I don’t know how many times I’ll have to keep telling people between now and March (he mightn’t even get there either).

Of course he might not get there, that goes for most horses. Why do you reckon Faugheen has no chance should he get there in one piece?

2m may not be ideal but don’t think Apples Jade has to improve a huge amount to be a serious contender. Think it will be her target anyway.

Very much doubt we will see apples jade in anything but the Mares hurdle

Likely correct and 2m maybe not ideal. Would like to see her take on the big guns over Xmas, but that might not happen either. I just have a feeling if CH cut up a bit more, they could be tempted.

Wouldn't be arguing it at this stage but it wouldn't surprise me either. Given the right circumstances I don't see why they'd limit themselves. Giggi always seemed more open to me in regards to taking gambles than Ricci and Mullins anyway.

Oh sure, if it was WPM I wouldn’t be wasting the typeface on it!

They're 100% going 3m route at Christmas by looks of it.

Killultagh Vic has left Mullins yard. Is away back to C McBratney (original trainer). Unfortunately the horse is more or less done now because of injuries

    Races on the 28th :)

Disko doesn't travel to Kempton now

    Might run at leopardstown instead

Would it be possible Finians Oscar goes back over hurdles?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

He just needs a jockey that can help him get into a rhythm jumping.

Very I'd say. Doesn't like the fences.

Probably just not as smart a horse as first thought though.

    Incorrect.

    Incorrect.

Did you not know it's fashionable to suggest Cooper's ****e these days  Gave that horse a peach of a ride today,Finians' afraid of his fences and should be sent back hurdling for the season then get some serious schooling into him and have a crack at handicap company over fences next year and see how he progresses.

    Absolute bollocks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,073 ✭✭✭hawaii501

No fault of the jockey whatsoever, the horse just isn't as good as everyone thought.

3 out looked like it would win by how many with dysos going backwards and bentalar shaken up.

Anyone blaming the jockey need their heads examined

Can't have this at all, I'd love you to explain where you think Cooper went wrong yesterday.
