    No.

I, however, know that they're pseudoscience preying on the easily lead or worse.

What on earth are you talking about?

If you think a polygraph works, you're an idiot.

These were debunked decades ago - its not like its a recent thing.

The us use them in high profile cases

No, they don't - and they haven't done so for decades. They are inadmissible for evidence at a federal level, as they are nonsense.

    The polygraph got Chris watts

You say only if you’re an idiot

What is a man who kills his wife and 2 kids to run off with a fancy woman and buying a meal for two with the family bank card? A genius?

    :)

That obviously wasn’t the only thing.WTF? It’s called evidence , that was the beginning of his downfall, for ****sake. Sad to even suggest that.

    They do

    No, they don't. They can't.

A Netflix show is not proof that they do.

The "science" behind these as is as solid as it is for flat earthers. Idiots one and all.

Oh cause it was only ever used in a Netflix show..l. What the **** is ur problem with lie detector tests? Have u had one before or something?

My "problem" is that the general public believing absolute pseudoscience is not good for society.

Lie detector tests are bull****. They have always been bull**** and will always remain bull****.

    They do not work.

You may as well believe the earth is flat or that JFK was abducted by aliens - its all the same level.

Well there is plenty of experts that would disagree with u, I doubt u are an expert in the field of polygraph tests. U basically haven’t a clue like anybody else.

    There aren't.

Anyone with a financial interest in providing polygraph tests is not an expert - they're a conflicted interest.

You won't find anyone else who thinks they're anything but bull****

Oh ok so FBI conduct polygraph tests for the fun off it.

Seriously this guy is trying to get people banned using his mod status.

They conduct them because idiots who think they work may confess due to the (false) belief the machine will "find out". It won't.

I am not a mod on this forum.

Do you think the earth is flat? Do you think the scientologists magic box can actually detect your personality? These have as much 'science' and as many 'experts' as polygraphs do.

A convicted murderer is a Netflix show? I’d say it’s more of a convicted murderer?

    No.

A lightbulb with "YOU'RE LYING" painted on it that an interviewer turns on and off when they think a suspect is lying would be just as effective, and a hell of a lot cheaper.

As a lie detector, truth detector, guilt detector or whatever - the polygraph does absolutely nothing.

You are relying on a Netflix show as your evidence.

...which is still a TV show.

    Its not his trial.

No we aren’t relying on evidence on a Netflix show, please present ur evidence that they don’t work?

    So ****ing annoying.

    So ****ing annoying.

Present your evidence that they actually work. The burden of proof is on you - you are the one pushing the pseudoscience. TV shows and hearsay are not evidence.

You may find having your deep-seated, wrong, beliefs challenged annoying but that's nobodies problem but your own.
CCTV is a tv show now?

You are being deliberately obtuse now.

No present ur evidence they don’t work? We have named a Netflix show where it’s worked, where is ur source that they haven’t worked
