Whyte is Fighting Rivas on July 20th on Sky Box Office.

I can't see it doing many sales.

I think it will be entertaining with a Whyte ko round 5/6

Delighted for Allen, such a character

Pleased fir Allen surely but a bit disappointed for Browne as he was lording it. Was there a clash of heads? In any case the ko punch was perfect

    Absolutely delighted for Allen

I backed Browne but even though he was winning 1st few rounds there was no conviction in his shots

    Was a terrible main event

Positive / hopefully Allen fights next will be good price so I can get my money back

Given prices performances recently against less the British level opponents you'd have to fancy Allen particularly if he can see out the first 3/4 rounds. As for Whyte vs Rivas it's a good fight but really shouldn't be box office.

Yea I’d be with you on both calls. Price would need to really go for it early on. I think if Allen beat him he’d retire
The undercard could make that fight but I’ll not be buying it

Think I'd rather Hunter but Ruiz wouldn't be a total disaster imo.

And the good thing is he doesn’t need a camp as he is never in shape anyway.

(Joking, I know he had a fight at the weekend).

Yeah, he had a very easy fight at the weekend and so I was thinking he might get the call. It would make sense for him to cash in.

All the same I don’t think he is any more of a threat than Hunter.

Kash Ali got a 6 month ban, and a 10k fine....would that be on top of his purse being withheld..or will he now get paid..and the fine taken from his purse? .. (reckoned to be about 20k)

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,853 ✭✭✭Morrison J

Terms agreed for Joyce v Dubois. Fair play to both if it happens.

That's a pathetic ban. He probably wouldn't have fought in 6 months anyway. Who handed that out?

Well 10k is a fair chunk out of a 20k purse. I'm not saying it should not have been severe but if that was all he was getting, by the time he pays his fine, manager and trainer take a cut and training is paid for, I'd say he's left with nothing.

Fully agree with you that a 6 month ban though is a bit silly. Should have been a few years.

I think it’s fair enough. He’s a tube. He’s in essence got 12 months since he’s lost payment from the price fight. In addition he’s gonna have trouble getting good opponents who’s gonna want to fight him? He’s irrelevant anyhow
