Happy out if conditions are as you are predicting,I think it'll favour the physicality of our lads and be less opportune for Kerry's inside line.

I don't see there being anything too drastic weather-wise for Sunday. Looks like a bit of rain with some winds but certainly nothing too dramatic.

    Joe...the glass is half empty......

We have one Lee Keegan and we are happy to have him.....we also have very many good players...Ask Roscommon and the others teams we have beaten....

Joe better stick to his RTE seat.....coz his team talks would be ......" sure we ain't got a chance "

"James O' Donoghue is over rated"

Jaysus Joe i know you come out with mad stuff at times but is it only me that thinks that he's gone a bit crazy with that one. Personally, I think O'Donoghue has looked savage sharp this year

Yeah while I wouldn't call it a "bottle job" (anyone who uses the word "bottlers" on the site and is over 14 years of age should be permabanned but anyway..) 2013 was definitely a complete flop

We were blowing everyone away that summer and I was fully convinced we'd beat the dubs. We even had a dream start but completely folded after brogan's goal.

Everyone from the sideline to the players to the crowd were way below par that day. That final still gives me nightmares. really one that got away

2014 was a bit unlucky but certainly 2011, 2012, 2015 and last year we were eventually beaten by better sides

I see there planning a 21 minute applause in the mayo game for the lad that got killed in swinford.

There a time and place for this and this is def not the right place if you ask me.

I think it is just one minute's applause for young Deasy. If Kerry are OK with it, why not.

He was a good GAA supporter, often coming back to Mayo for matches

Match Ups for this will be fascinating...

    Harrison for Geaney
    Barret for Donaghy
    Higgins for O'Donoghue
    &
    Buckley for Keegan for me

Mayo have a real shot here because they'll go out to win!

Mayo should put Keegan on Paul Murphy, pushes Keegan forward and could keep Murphy quiet.

Higgins should be let cut loose as much as possible too. He scored and set up a goal v Rossie's doing what Keegan does.

Play Horan , Cillian and AoS in full forward with 1 dropping into space. Have Higgins and Keegan charging forward.

I know it's a typo but I still laughed when I seen Horan in the FF line :D

Having to Mark Horan and Horgan on Top of everyone else is going to keep Kerry busy . Mayo have more talent than people realise......

    Hear hear

Minute silence before the match absolutely. When did this applause during the match come in? it seems to be suggested every game now

What happens if Kerry get a goal, mayo get a guy sent off, someone gets a nasty injury etc in that minute?

Are Kerry in their traditional colours on Sunday? They are down as the "home" team.

    Kerry are wearing blue.

I never thought of that . You are correct in what you say .

Happy with that. They would have a small advantage if they were allowed to wear their home kit. Not to mention the fear of us passing unwittingly to a green shirt:eek:

Came across this interesting pic on the Kerry thread and not at all what I had thought about the age spread of players.

It looks like there will be a drop of rain Sunday afternoon :P This is the 12 o'clock forcast

I'm so exhausted thinking about all the permutations at this stage that I'm beyond wreaked, but at the same time very very excited :D I expect a war of attrition.

I was under the impression that Keegan and Vaughan would not miss the final if they picked up another black card. Not so it seems

Boyle was in same situation last year and I don't think there has been any rule change since

    3 changes for kerry

Cillian Young replaces Fionn Fitzgerald in full back line
Anthony Maher replaces Jack Barry in midfield
Stephen O brien replaces Donnacha Walsh who apparently is injured and not in the 26

Bryan Sheehan and Gavin Crowley come in as subs.

Liam Brosnan predicted the Young switch, good call by the Kerry management as I'd have considered Fitzgerald a weak link.

Maher/Barry switch was always a possibility.

I'd have started O Brien but one less man to worry about with Walsh out of the match day panel.
