IMO there's a huge difference in how Keegan and Cillian are viewed

Form a capability and personal point of view.

There's plenty of dodgy stuff from Keegan, but he gets plenty of it too. He never complains, slaps the ground , moans to the ref and he'd walk onto any team.

I think that he explains why he does what he does. There is an honesty to his play and interviews that focuses people on the reality of the situations, actions reactions etc.
Think that's a pretty fair description

I've defended Cillian to the hilt (and will continue to do so :@)
    BUT
That red card was a LONG time coming and I hope it makes him refocus . I also think he needs to be left in the full forward line. He is having to roam way too far out and this is in turn has lead to an increased amount of "incidents"

Great post on Keegan. He really is a top player for us, comes across as a real genuine guy who is a born winner and I hate the day when he needs to leave the scene. His game ups with the challenge. He is our go to guy when we need a man marking job. His attacking sense is brilliant as he know when to go and when to wait. You don't get goals in All ireland finals by luck - great footballing brain.

Hennelly leaves his line again and concedes a goal. Nearly a sure bet.

Another shocking miss from Doherty. We don't help ourselves.

Bad miss by Andy that time.

Cillian really needs to get back to what he has been really good at n previous years.

We've missed easy frees and conceded a completely avoidable goal. That's 6 points there. Infuriating stuff.

ITs not like we have a free taker coming back either in full confidence

I was about to say the same, but then realised that the forwards have done nothing.

Apart from Gallagher's miss that came from a Dublin mistake they have hardly threathened.

The overall performance looks better than v Kerry or v Galway, and Kildare are poor, but I'm wondering where the scores will come from.

Dreadful 2nd half performance. A lot of aimless kicking/passing. And lucky to get into double figures on the scoreboard.

I wouldn't dismiss Doherty after a couple of bad misses

I wouldn’t dismiss the second highest championship scorer in the history of the game after a few either
He didn’t play tonight and we end up with 4 diff free takers

I’d not bother with the dubs thread lads

Disappointing night out yet there were glimmers of hope.

    Dreadful start.

Mannion cleaned Eoin O Donoghue out in the first ten minutes.Awful start, settled in relatively well.

Many of Robert Hennelly's kickouts misfired due to inaccuracy and poor movement. He doesn't utilise the short kickouts to any degree in comparison with David Clarke.Second goal pretty reminiscint of so many others he's conceded...2013 final and 2015 semi final replay come to mind.

Dubs were toying with us for the majority of the second half,so damned controlled it's infuriating as opposition supporter to watch.Yet it could have been more competitive if Adam Gallagher had taken his goal chance. So many decent chances squandered yet the same could be said of Dublin.

Seamie O Shea's introduction was a very welcome one as he gave us a bit of steel around the middle even if he oft turned over possession. We had really struggled to get a foothold in the middle.

Hoping Adam Gallagher gets a further opportunity,I thought we saw enough glimpses of what he can offer. Was there any harm in giving Akram a start as opposed to David Drake?

Cillian can't get back to his imperious freetaking soon enough.

The usual suspects drove Dublin on..McCarthy, Fenton and probably the most underrated footballer in the county McAuley.I thought he was excellent tonight.

Yeah, diving and gamesmanship. Not befitting a captain of this county, nor any for that matter.
