    What a dull interview.

It's the Stay There Show. This is what passes for cutting edge during the summer.

    Bishop Brennan

I'd love if the new DG did that to D'Arcy.

In fairness Bishop is a matter of taste but is one of the biggest comedians around and John Giles is one of the best players Ireland have had.

RTE just don't have the money to get the A listers that Graham Norton does.

If Anne Doyle was a guest every week, I'd happily watch each and every time. :);)

If this was D'Arcy's show he'd be there with the skates on, challenging the team to a roller skate-off.

They have it but they won't pay it.

Good luck to them. Looks like fun.

Also, the Ireland Group games at the Womens Rugby World Cup (held here in August)have already sold out, which is good to see.

No, Harry. He'd be campaigning to have it outlawed and quoting figures of the numbers of fatal roller blade accidents in the last year. ...

I'm missing the sofa and chandelier from the earlier series. I'm not a fan of the new set.

    Who is your favourite Bishop?

    A John Bishop
    B Harold Bishop from Neighbours
    C Bishop Len Brennan

Close between Harold and Len - but Harold edges it thanks to his appearance on Banzai. :D;)

    (With apologies for the quality.)

    New-style €10s and €20s in the compo footage, but old-style €50s.

Well, to be fair, they are still in circulation for the time being... :D;)

IMO, camogie at Wimbledon is even less likely than Trump getting a second term. :o:o;)

They'll get the same ratings no matter who is on. No point forking out for A listers

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Harry & Skid, I was watching a programme about the National Gallery of Ireland during the week and it reminded me of that infamous 'Ireland's Favourite Painting thread of ours (it has since been cleaned up unfortunately :( ) I remember all the in-thread fighting got a mention on the Pat Kenny radio show, it's hard to believe was five years ago.

They don't and they would also receive awful criticism if they did.

Norton's show is just a PR junket for A-list actors promoting their latest film or musicians promoting their latest album. It can be just as dull as the Irish chat shows, albeit with higher class guests.

They should really do a viewer prize of €1 million one of the weeks with the €107.5 million they got from the land sale.

Agree, you can predict Norton's guest by looking at the movie release schedule.
