Never knew until recently that Johnny is Nobby Stiles's brother-in-law. Poor Nobby has Alzheimer's now.

    But both useless as sh1te!

They're not *equally* useless though. One's undoubtedly more useless than the other... :o:);)

I like the way the credits say "Title Music arranged by Mark Ronson" , as if he was specially commissioned to do it.

"Sorry Bruno, I can't go Uptown to go Funking with you tonight, Mir will be angry if I don't finish her theme music ... "

If it's the Nora O Meara I know, she deserves it.

Was that her, do you think?

That would be great, I don't think we've ever had a winner that someone knew :)

I know, Johns, but if the team is going to suffer because a player is tired, isn't it better for him to put his hand up and tell the manager?

Different time then, to hide stuff, as the publican was the shrink then to hear everything

She wasn't on for long enough but I'd say so.

The only thing worse than a Bee Gees concert is a Bee Gees tribute concert.

Especially one of these awful, awful stomach churning fawning-style ones.

A bit like Blackpool beating West Ham 4-0 in an FA Cup match in the 70's when a few of the West Ham players were hungover :D

    Still a great film though

Brian Clough: I apologise for being a twát... unreservedly.
PT: "Because I can't do it without you."
BC: Because I can't do it without you.
    PT: "I'm nothing without you."
    BC: I'm nothing without you.
PT: "Please, please, baby, take me back."
    BC: Fúck off.
    PT: Fine.
BC: Please! Please... baby, take me back.

Yeah, unfortunately he also had to sell his medals a few years ago.

Al Green sings this song so much better than Jon Legend.

I always think that is so very sad. I remember reading about some Olympic athlete who had to sell her medal to make ends meet. I couldn't buy something like that unless it was for a museum or something.

One of my guilty pleasures :o

I didn't realise until I was listening Newstalk Breakfast recently that some people thought the song was called 'Ireland's Industry' instead Islands in the Stream' :D

Celine Dion has the amazing ability to turn any song into something forgettable.

    I for one can't dislike Celine Dion. I just can't. :o:o:o:);)

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Excuse this super b1tchy comment....... but why would you choose to wear a dress with a large slit down the front when you have no cleavage to show off....... okay, I know it's b1tchy but Celine is so flat chested and the bodice of that dress does nothing for her.

No-one forgets that song from Titanic though. :D;)

But, for me, her best English-language song is one written and produced by Jim Steinman... ;)

I'm not a fan of her music but two of my friends have met her and they say she is a lovely person, she seems to have a very loyal legion of fans.

John Travolta looks like he's got stuck in a wind tunnel and his hair is painted on. Why can't people grow old gracefully?

Phil Neal of LFC afaik had to do the same thing with his 4 Medals.
Celine Dion has the amazing ability to turn any song into something forgettable.

But no doubt, she/her will go on ;)
