I'm Sept 16 with OOM of mid 500s and I met the sergeant the week after the medical and the super a few weeks after definitely give them a ring, vetting still wasn't signed off hope I'm still in the run for November

Same here, low 500's and just waiting to be signed off. Vetting complete.
Wonder is there many people left before 500?

Highest I've seen that was taken in for August was 350 from our intake so chances could be looking good for November just pure speculation though

Frustrating seeing people with way higher OOM receiving offers before you do.

I can only imagine how people feel from previous campaigns still waiting on offers.

Vetting seems to be a major issue. I've been vetted 4 times in the last 3 years for work and sports teams, and I still missed out on August.

It's is frustrating to say the least. Ppl on higher oom and later campaigns going through before others. Putting lives on hold for nearly two years not knowing what's going to happen and when.
Don't seem to be trying push ppls vettings at all.
At the end of the day were just a file on a desk I'd say . Oom or campaign doesn't seem to matter.
Not right at all and totally unfair. And guaranteed there will be plenty more after next intake feeling hard done by and frustrated. Hopefully the wait is worth it.
Here's to another stressful 6 weeks

Hear, hear! The amount of sacrifices you make for each stage, time, effort, money you put into the whole process is enormous.

It's certainly a very long road to Tipperary.

It will be all worth it when we do get that start. Positive thinking:)

Hello all !! I rang HRM today to see if my file has been signed off on. They told me that there's a batch of 160 or so files that they will be working on this week/next week.

I'm hoping this batch will be front runners for the November intake. I was also informed that we won't receive confirmation that our files are signed off until the actuall email that invites us to the intake (september).

    Fingers crossed !!

I'd say your well in the pot with 200 OOM. The highest OOM I heard of that went down in August was 340 ish

Nicely done and good to know. I suppose telling us "all clear" and then emailing again to invite would be time consuming and pointless duplication. Well hoping mine is among them. Nice tidy OOM myself so just waiting now.

Hopefully and it can be like pulling teeth. Although I'm sure they do have to be careful. Vetting really isn't something you can discuss in detail even with the subject and least of all on the phone. Doesn't make our existence any easier but always good when someone gets a little bit of useful info

Thanks all for the advice. Both Sergeant and Super meetings next week. HRM sent my local station a reminder. Physical in three weeks lets hope I might just squeeze into November all going well.:D

If your file is just waiting to be "signed off by senior management" does that mean that your vetting is complete?

I have been asking around same- so vetting is done. and then OOM and then you will be through.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 67 ✭✭Butter

Is your vetting complete? I did the medical and physical with you so we should be around the same OOM.

Anyone get a letter to say they are generally unsuitable? I did and am in process now of informal review, pending that outcome might have to do a formal review and pending that an appeal. Just curious is anyone else in this position. Also don't take it that your vetting is complete because its "gone to be signed off" because that's where mine was at. And it didn't get signed resulting in this.
