Celbridge is in zone 1, but the GAI 120 services are regional commuter services.

Therefore the pay-as-you-go fare on the GAI 120 to/from Dublin will be €2.40 using LEAP.

The GAI 120 does not however qualify for fare capping, and it also does not qualify for the TFI 90 minute fare.

However, from 16 June you will be able to buy 24 hour and weekly zone 1 tickets priced at the same rates as the zone 1 caps on the LEAP top-up app and website that will be valid on the GAI 120 in zone 1, together with all city bus services, rail services and LUAS services in zone 1.

Monthly tickets and annual tickets for zone 1 will also cover travel on the GAI 120 within that zone.

On the Swords Road, which is one of the main corridors I use, you have the 16 running with single door buses all the time. Namely the AX and EV buses which are 18 or 19 years in traffic now. This route serves as the main bus route from the capital city airport with over 30m passengers to the city centre, with extremely high loadings all day.

Don't say that anyone is picking on your route by way of what type of bus turns up. A bus is a bus and the company has the right to allocate as they see fit. Also the E1 is arriving into Northwood with 40 - 50 pax per bus on such a high frequency route during the peak. They badly needed a bus service there and more developments on the way there.

    Re Out: 9, 16, 83/a, 140, 54a, 123

So I presume it is just the south side of the 16 that will go in Phase 7?

Phase 8 and 9 sound like really radical ambition. I would expect they are fictional.

With all due respect, what you've posted gives nothing like the full picture, and frankly some of it has to be wrong - the 16 cannot change until the A-Spine phase for example (either side of the city centre) as it would create massive capacity problems.

If you are going to post things like this, you need to list all of the routes in each phase - otherwise people are going to get the wrong end of the stick and we end up going round and round with people getting confused and worried. You are not doing anyone any favours by posting only bits of each phase.

I would suggest that the list should be:

    Phase 7 (Autumn 2025) (F-Spine):

    New routes: F1, F2, F3, F9, 23, 24, 71, 73, 80, 82 and L89

    • 80 to operate from Liffey Valley SC to Palmerston Park until A Spine launches

    Cancelled: 9, 26, 40, 40b, 49, 54a, 56a, 83, 83a, 123, 140, 150

    Phase 8 (Spring 2026) (D-Spine)

    New routes: D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D9, O Orbital, 8, 10, 20, 21, 57, 58, 72, 97, L56, L80, L81, L91, X47, X55, X56, X58, X77, X78

    Cancelled: 11b, 13, 27, 27a, 27b, 27x, 32x, 42, 43, 51d, 53, 53a, 68, 68a, 69, 69x, 77a, 77x, 102, 104, 130, 142, 151, Northern half of route 11, Northern half of route 14, Northern half of route 15, Southern half of route 122; (Route 73 may swap routing in Drimnagh at this stage when the 72 launches)

    Phase 9 (Autumn 2026) (A-Spine):

    New routes: A1, A2, A3, A4, A9, 22, 81, 85, L44, L82, L83, L85, P18, P43, P44, X76, X79, X83, X84

Amended: Route 80 extended from Palmerston Park to Ballinteer (Kingston)

    Possible: N8

    Cancelled: 1, 14, 15, 15a, 15b, 15d, 16, 33, 33a, 33b, 33d, 33x, 41, 41b, 41c, 41d, 41x, 65, 65b, Northern half of 44

Perfectly possible that they will happen 6-7 months apart.

    I said Autumn 2025!

You won’t get anything more specific until all the ducks are in a row and ready to go.

Seriously (and I’m not being smart), but with all the deadlines missed so far, you’re not going to get anything more precise.

Autumn could be September to November.

True, we know what NTA has been like rolling it out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,862 ✭✭✭✭LXFlyer

Well to be fair it is the reality of the challenges of hiring and retaining staff (drivers and mechanics). That’s what dictates when the phases happen.

The NTA previously tried to roll out a phase when the companies didn’t have enough staff and we ended up with chaos.

Someone posted a letter from the NBRU on another forum stating the planned start date is 28th September.

Of course considering how many times the E-spine was delayed, I'd take that with a pinch of salt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,862 ✭✭✭✭LXFlyer

That’s the latest suggestion - but frankly at this stage, it’s best kept as I’ve posted above.

Precise dates are guesses right now.

At the minute its still the 28th of September nothing has changed and the 123 is still moving the GAI and the 122 is moving to Summerhill
