Nothing gets me like children's films:o

Fox and the hound, the land before time (especially the part where he thinks the shadow is his mother)

    Just recently seen this. Wow.

Best war film Ive ever seen, its harrowing. It really depicts the horror of war, you can literally feel yourself slip into madness with Florya.

    Lion.

Even more so that it actually happened. That little boy living on the streets just kills me.

    The Pianist.

There's loads of sad scenes in that movie but for some reason the scene in that film that got to me was where a pot of food is dropped on a stoney ground. They are so starved that the people start trying to eat the food from off the ground.

Yes - there was a lot in that film.

The scene that always makes me choke a little is when they're about to get on the train. The Mother is having a meltdown, not surprisingly but Frank Findlay says something like - It's not that bad, at least we're altogether. Its the ordinariness of this that always gets me. I see Dads doing it all the time and ... :(

Last of the Mohicans when the Indian is killed trying to rescue the blonde sister and she jumps to her death after him.

    Legends of the Fall.

    King Kong.

Terms of Endearment gets me every time. Apart from the awful scene where she says goodbye to her kids, the final look she gives her mother right before she goes is just heartbreaking.

It may be a cliche now, but the final 30 minutes of Titanic had me in bits the first few times I saw it. The mother reading her children the story of Tir na Nog and the old couple holding each other in bed while the room filled with water - Jesus :(

The bridges of Madison County . Tears always ,every time and not little tears .Big fat tears accompanied by running nose and that laboured breathing you get after a long deep cry

I must make it my business to watch Manchester by the sea which a lot of people are saying is good

    Marley and Me

That's not sad,I'd have had that bloody dog put down.

Haitchi is way better and would bring a tear to a glass eye.

There is a really powerful new zealand movie called "once were warriors" in my opinion an incredible movie with some very sad and harrowing scenes. Ultimately ends with optimism and heroism but tough going in places.
