    Hey everyone,

Spring has well and truly sprung. There's a grand stretch in the evening and we're starting to catch glimpses of that mysterious ball of fire in the sky that we hear about!

There's a few meetups planned in forums across the site in the near future. The Forum Games forum - who for quite some time were solely focused on munchings and lynchings during games of Werewolf, but have branched out into more sedate games - will be meeting up for beers and some games later this month or early in April. If you're looking for something a little more active, the Cycling forum is set to take part in another hill climb challenge. The previous one took place five years ago, so there's sure to be plenty of new blood around.

The Boards Golf Society enjoyed a day out around Luttrelstown Castle in February and already have their next outing lined up. They'll be heading for the shores of Lough Ree on March 18th to play around the Christy O'Connor Junior designed Glasson golf club. Finally, the Motors forum will host the Mighty Motors Midway March Meet on March 26th; try saying that four times quickly!

While not strictly a forum meetup, I'd also like to highlight the work of some of those of the Fighting Games forum. The moderator over there, Doctor Doom, has been organising and streaming events for some time. Last year, he helped put together an Irish stop for the Capcom Pro Tour (a big fancy Street Fighter tournament for those not in the know) as part of an event called Celtic Throwdown. This year, once again, Celtic Throwdown will play host to a Capcom Pro Tour event, allowing participants to earn ranking points to ultimately become one of the 32 Capcom Cup finalists who will compete for a share of $600,000. You can find all the details here. Not satisfied with that, Doctor Doom has also teamed up with ESL to get the Tekken UK (and Ireland) Tournament series to host a free-to-enter event in Ireland where the latest build of Tekken 7 will be available to play.

With the evenings getting brighter and warmer, you may fancy a bit of a runabout. In which case, the timing of the Boards Astro Football team's recruitment drive couldn't be better. They're currently looking for players in all positions for the upcoming season, which gets underway in April. Check out this thread for details and be ready to get your boots on in the coming weeks when some friendly matches (or should that be exhibition matches) will be played.

Cheltenham is on next week, which means the Horse Racing forum will be one to keep an eye on. If you fancy a virtual flutter, the forum will be hosting a Tipping Competition, which could be entertaining.

Since the last update, there's been a couple more AMAs. Most recently, we had a Research Scientist on to talk about all that this entails. And just before that, we had one of our most interesting and eye-opening AMAs thanks to a Recovered Drug User who was open, honest, and thought-provoking. We're always on the lookout for other interesting people to have questions fired at them, so if you or someone you know fits the bill, why not take a look at the application form.

That's it from me; hopefully you'll be tempted to go to one of the community meetups or perhaps duck your head into a forum that you haven't explored before. And finally, we'll leave you with some interesting, amusing, or downright daft threads of late.
