There's been no confirmed reports, been following this for last 8 hours.

Wikileaks are saying the entire report is fake.

How journalism should work is by not publishing reports with slander and including a disclaimer that the report is unverified and likely to be false.

I agree that Buzzfeed should not have released the document. I don't count them as msm given their usual style of you won't believe these 5 things about Trump!

CNN and the like have refrained from reporting any allegations contained within. They have said that the Russians could have compromising information on Trump and that this is being reported by security chiefs.

Should the media also have refrained from reporting that the investigation on Hillary had reopened or that that here ever had been one? Because that is all the serious news agencies have done.

As in the document Buzzfeed have is not the real report that was given to the president and Trump? I could well believe it but that still leaves what was in the real one.

Because Wikileaks are experts at authenticating documents.

Sorry to piss on your parade.

This is what the guy at Buzzfeed wrote about the report.

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C13V2sCWQAA9EYo.jpg:large

    Key word is unverified.

Yes WikiLeaks are such experts at authenticating documents that they had to ask The Guardian and Der Spiegal to authenticate their documents in the past.

You're talking out of your hole. Sorry to piss (:p) on your parade but Trump is going to be impeached.

Yeah because its not like WikiLeaks have an agenda against America or anything :D

This is the biggest political scandal of our time. I knew Trump would be impeached but I didn't know it would happen this quickly.

Biggest political scandal of our time? The report is undoubtedly complete bs and buzzfeed are engaging in the worst type of gutter journalism in publishing this knowing that's completely unverified and most likely false.

The major problem with printing a nonsense story like this is that when an actual story of merit comes out, the Trump administration will be able to brush it off by correctly claiming that the media are always publishing bs stories about the Donald and so the real news will end up being most likely being ignored.

Wikileaks doesn't have an agenda against America. You've been misled by the media and smear campaigns.

Second part, I think you'll be proven wrong, but let's see.

Tell me something that WikiLeaks has released that puts Russia in a bad light? Surely with all the corruption at government level in Russia there would be tons of material submitted but amazingly its target seems to only be America.

Want to make a wager? Your discrediting of Wikileaks is alarming.

The story is 4chan sent it out to an anti Trump GOP journo at buzzfeed, and a shill account on twitter that was pro Hillary for months coaxed him somehow into believing it. He passed it onto McCain and the CIA ate it up and included it as part of the classified report on Russian interference.

Whether that's true or not who knows. I posted some links over on the politics forum linking to stuff from 4chan.

If the CIA accepted it why would wikileaks say it's bogus?

Yeah, this feels like little more then a pathetic attempt to litterally and figuratively piss all over Trumps inauguration by a bitter bunch of libtards over at buzzfeed, seriously, buzzfeed FFS.
Besides, since the most famous woman in the world has launched her career off the back of a sex tape I do have to wonder how big a scandal it can be in this modern age? Either way I doublt the tape (if it exists) will never be released, seriously, is anybody is up for watching 'Two Girls one Trump'.... like... ever?

If the report was complete BS then Trump, Obama and 6 other high ranking senators wouldn't have been briefed on it, it wouldn't be being investigated by the FBI and I sincerely doubt someone like McCain would put his career on the line for what amounts to a BS report.

    This is big folks

People getting news from Buzzfeed based on stuff made up by 4chan, WTF? Are ye trying to make Trumps life easier? It plays right into Trumps hands of highlighting the BS that comes from MSM

Buzzfeed have simply published the memo. The actual dossier was brought to the attention of the FBI by Senator McCain, this has been confirmed by the FBI.

One of the most respected Republicans in American politics delivered the dossier personally to the head of the FBI.

I'm sure there's a report out there that high ranking senators, Obama and Trump have been briefed on but there is absolutely nothing to suggest it's the one that has been published by Buzzfeed. You're adding 2 and 2 together and getting 22 which is exactly what Buzzfeed want you to do.

Like Iraq chemical weapons dossier big?

No, 'Watersports gate' isn't big, it's just a distraction by a petty bunch of loosers.

I agree with you, but unfortunatley that is the world that Trump helped to create.

He spent the entire campaign making claims about HC, Bill Clinton etc without any actual proof, so its a bit late to now be claiming that only 100% verified facts should be published by anybody

He used this pandoras box and now others feel entitled to use it.

If the document leaked is the same one Trump/Obama were shown it still shouldn't be made public, it's not verified. The problem is it contains slander.

Does it really matter if the story is fake or not? The great orange one gladly used all the fake news handed to him by 52 year old russian hackers 12 year old American internet warriors to help with his election.

What's the saying again...what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

The majority of American's didn't want him as president, I can't see stories like this going away any time soon.

When are the Democrats going to start looking at themselves with regard to the loss of the election ?

And as long as Sanders keeps hanging around they have a problem. I would say a lot of those voters did not pull the handle for Hillary.

Trump supporters have no interest in Russia etc. In fact if the media keep bringing it up it will only galvanise them more.

My belief is all this stuff is political. Trump was warned if he doesn't play ball they'll be implications.

I'm not sure you if think I'm defending Trump here. I'd like to clarify that I'm not. I think the guy is a grade A asshat but using unverifiable and most likely false information to smear somebody is the lowest of the low, no matter who the target is. I don't really care if we're living in a post truth world. I think it's important to call bullshít on stories like this, even if you somehow think it may benefit which ever side of the political spectrum you choose to stick your flag in.

Wikileaks is wrong then? It is official intel? It can't be both fake and real.

I agree and mentioned I don't like Buzzfeed publishing it. I don't even consider them a news media site.

However I was arguing on the coverage of CNN etc. Which is how it should be done.

Yeah sorry sleepy. At least CNN didn't publish the stuff from the report as they knew it wasn't verified.

If it's fake buzzfeed is done, Trump will sue them into the ground.

    I wasn't implying you were.

I was merely saying, and I agree with you that it serves no good to anyone, that this is the world Trump lives in and that he helped promote and it seems that it is a case of speak whatever you want and let others deny it.

Trump is finding it works both ways.

Thats all I was trying to say

In my view, this is a non story until such time as proof can be shown. Does it highlight a potential area of concern, yer, but for those that are tasked with that sort of stuff. There is simply no need for this to be made public at this time.

This is hilarious, if its true then he really is the idiot he appears to be. I love that it could be his love for degrading women and using his power and money to get away with it that finally takes him down. Post truth hits Trump, Hoist with his own petard. Revenge of the pussies :) you couldnt make this stuff up.

The problem for him is he denies everything, even the stuff we've actually seen him do live on TV. His denials mean nothing, the old boy has cried wolf far too often. What sort of idiot gets in bed like he has with any foreign govt, never mind the Kremlin. He is simply unfit for power by virtue of the fact he has left himself exposed enough for this story to happen, regardless of whether its true or not.
