This is the all new Donald J.Trump thread. The other one had gone too far to be salvaged.

There are going to be strict rules for this one on account of that.

First off the election is over, the people have spoken, so drop all the Hillary stuff.
No dumping of links, have an opinion.
Everyone starts with a fresh slate from here, but from now on transgressions will be dealt with harshly.
There is to be no dragging old posts/arguments from the old thread.

Please play nice and this thread could stay going for the 8 years of his presidency.

If actions are taken in the future ignorance of this post will not be accepted as a defense.

Well, I bet no one saw this coming... I wonder if the US intelligence agencies were saving this for a rainy day?

And more importantly, what do the Russians actually have on Trump? It is enough to make him step down before inauguration, or enough to impeach him afterwards? Or will Trump sail on?

Always interesting to notice the words used.
Plenty of the words "claims" and "allegations" used, but the word "evidence" is strangely missing, as it has been throughout all the earlier Russian hacking stuff.
    Just sayin'.

I am shocked, shocked that the man who always praises Russia no matter what he needs to do to twist the story could have been compromised by them.

That said the intellegence chiefs are still investigating but they seem pretty sure. Can't see Congress working on his ideas too much now as they will always have what if it was Putin who gave him this idea.

Nothing about this on Fox at the moment.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Russians did have something on him. But, this could also just be CNN making a mountain out of a molehill.

Allegedly there's a evidence of Trump being golden showered by hookers in a Moscow hotel room.

    Eight years!
Will he survive that long, or should I say will the rest of humanity still be around in eight years.

Will be a very interesting time, especially as the NIC amongst others paint a very gloomy future with Trump like leaders springing up all over the place.

The National Intelligence Council (NIC) serves as the US Intelligence Community's center for the long-term strategic analysis.

Trump seems like the kind of man who would brazen out anything. We will have to see how his first term goes but it can't be ruled out yet.

His position is untenable if even a shred of truth in that. He should know it himself. A President of the USA open to blackmail by Russia would be disasterous.

Sneaky Russians have set him up good if true which is plausible with Trump.

Anyone who goes to Russia, has to bear in mind the fact that if they are of any "interest" to the authorities, then they run the real risk of being under surveillance from various agencies, or even private investigators hired by individuals interested in know what they're up to,

For Trump to do any of that in Moscow would be stupidity of the highest order, or extreme arrogance!

Saw this on Twitter earlier and it made me laugh "The fake news giveth and the fake news taketh away".

True or not, this is brilliantly entertaining and I honestly cannot wait for his Twitter response or press conference tomorrow.

In other news, I read somewhere today that if Trump steps down before inauguration, Mike Pence does not take over. The House will have to select the president. Can anyone confirm?

I cannot confirm, but it makes sense in that the vice President can only become President if the President is eliminated, if Trump does not become President then Pence cannot become vice President.

    Why would he step down???
Has he read the report on the shít storm coming over the horizon and is saying "no way hosé" and bailing out!

Yeah sadly this is true. The salacious nature of the Moscow hotel allegations might sell a few tabloids but Trump's core support will either a) pretend it never happened or b) don't care either way. It's not as if it's out of character for him anyway. Can't see much coming of this.

The links between Trump (or his team) and the Kremlin are far more worrying. Whatever way you look Trump is compromised - Russia on one side and a Republican controlled House who could impeach him at a moments notice.

And the most depressing part...VP Mike Pence is next in line :(

If life has taught me one thing it is this: Always, always, always check hookers for concealed surveillance devices. Actually that goes for all ladies.

Apparently the memos were sent in by John McCain, it's hard to find someone with more respect from both sides of the aisle and a track record of integrity than him in US politics. https://www.google.ie/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jan/10/fbi-chief-given-dossier-by-john-mccain-alleging-secret-trump-russia-contacts?client=ms-android-h3g-ie

Makes you wonder though if they are true, if wikileaks had access to them at any point or not, and if they did, why they chose not to release them?

The operative who provided the information does appear to have bona fides in the intelligence community. Some of his claims were leaked in the last ten days of the campaign in November. Then again, same operative worked for anti-Trump Republicans and the Democrats so Trump may claim it is another conspiracy against him.
