Best thing would be to leak the tape and tell Putin to try again. Trump is now seeing Putins true colors. He is no friend, he is just trying to get material to bribe him.

It didn't even come from Russia. It was allegedly a "Western Ally" that leaked it to McCain and then he showed it to the FBI who then leaked it to CNN.

There is no proof. Nothing. Not Good.

This is only the start. Trump's entire cabinet is made up of amateurs, it wont be long before each department is screwing up and leaks are a way for officials to cover themselves.

Would Donald Trump mocking the intelligence agencies last week (delaying the meeting) or possibly proposing a restructuring have anything to do with it...even if it's all alleged and unsubstantiated stuff it seems.

Not only might the Russians have something on him (you would imagine it's almost certain they do - whatever it is), but the US intelligence are making it known they can throw fire back at him too

They had to stop HC but were then faced with Trump being their candidate. What to do?

They play the whole "we hate him too but look at HC" shtick and see how the cards fell. Get Pence on the ticket, which you can bet was a compromise so that if HC won they blame the public and it Trump wins they know they can either control or get rid at any time. Either way Pence becomes Potus.
Pence is ultra conversative and probably never had a chance directly due to the liberal media but this way he slipped in without any one questioning it.
Anti abortion, gun advocate, creationist. And the US just voted him in on the back of real change!

I am assuming the golden showers didn't come from anywhere official. At least I haven't seen it as a anything but rumours.

Plus I honestly couldn't give a *&^/ what he does with people in bed. I would be more annoyed with the destruction of hotel property if they destroyed the bed doing it. I also can't imagine his followers would care given what they have ignored so far so I can't see him backing away from someone potentially releasing it.

Yes the anti vaccine nut is being given power. Trump himself has also expressed anti vaccine sentiments on twitter in the past so it is no surprise. Mind you, things pro the whole daft story - Russia also hacked the RNC (lets not have another round of yes they did no they didn't, even Trump admits that Russian hacking went on and it's been generally accepted so far that the RNC and DNC were the same guys) and did not release whatever they got. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that there was something compromising. Destroy one candidate, hold embarrassing information over the other candidate. It could also be backed up by Trump's slavish devotion to Putin.

But. Really? I mean, if by some mad means this is actually a thing, that would be just...so 2016.

A wild theory - Trump is practically unassailable. He's got people with him that just will not accept any threat to their power through him. But he's trying to get his (atrocious) Cabinet picks gotten through. And we all know that the ridiculous **** happens when something serious is going on the background. I hate to even use the over-used word "false flag", but release some absolute reality-TV level lunacy, try to get people focussed on it, prove it's false and the evil Democrats are trying to destroy him, once the dust settles, hey, there's a bunch of unvetted asshats in Cabinet. It might also explain why it's just "false", and not "John McCain, who is really overrated, by the way, LYING about the ratings machine DJT..." etcetera.

It's about as possible as the alternative. Although I'd be very disappointed in McCain if that was the case! He seems a bit above that, although no real reason why he'd have to know about it. He's generally recognised as being fairly well respected on both sides of the fence.

The idea that Russia don't have dirt on Trump is naive. I suspect that they can bring him down whenever they want. They will have audio, video etc. Putin will love Trump's total ignorance.

It was Buzzfeed that ran with it . Apparently all the news outlets knew about it but hadn't verification.
You may suggest they were given the nod from the powers that be,but I doubt Trump would deliberately want it publicised.
