The financial world is ruled and governed, you don't play the game your never gonna get near winning the game, US embargo's couldnt stop the Cubans getting well educated and free medical care, amongst the best in the world, it all depends how you view the world I suppose.

Forget the bull**** propaganda, yes he killed while 100% putting his life on the line, it was 50/50, he won, and the people of Cuba adored him, some day visit the beautiful Island.
Castro lived in luxury while some of his people struggled, he was so loved that Cubans in their droves fled their homeland for a country that was hostile to them, Castro had Cubans whom he deemed dissidents imprisoned and killed, massive payments to the government were what paid for the "free" healthcare and education.

And you tell those who contest your romantic notion of him that they're the ones swallowing propaganda?

By the way, I don't agree with posters here who claim he was a super brutal dictator who did nothing good, but a dictator he was, and it's nonsense to claim he was nothing but good to the people of Cuba. What Rory28 wrote seems a very fair assessment.
