    i had ordered a weight frame for the tractor a while back and decided to stick it on to see what it looks like but im not happy with it , i think its too big and doesn't look right , your thoughts on this would be appreciated .

    so then it was time to go at the cab again with more wire brushing and cleaning , its amazing how much stuff had built up on it but its done now and we decided to cover all the badly pitted areas with chemical metal , this will leave a rock hard smooth finish when its rubbed down and ready for paint .

    thanks for that trailer bob , i think they look fierce well on any 100 series , god i hope yer man has power steering on that 135 or arms like Schwarzenegger !!!

    He has neither! Rarely ever has the weights on it though. The frame is very neat with the bonnet fitted in fairness

    You can, but this way the can be used if a larger implement is mounted or if a bale lifter was used etc. It's another bit of originality too

    Anyway, I think i've interloped on greendragon's thread enough now!

    hi all , update time again , some filler going on the wings ( looks like a lot but when its rubbed back its not much really , these pictures are before we start rubbing down ) and i was rubbing down the chemical metal on the cab today .

    i also put the bonnet back on again to see what this weight carrier is looking like but to be honest im not keen ,

    ive a smaller slightly different one ordered so i will take pictures of it for comparison when it comes , let me know what you think guys ,

    Don't like the weight carrier on them. That's just me though as I'm not used to seeing that on 135.

    Very useful I'd imagine on a 135 though.
    We fed round bales with one for a while which involved side brakes and alot of reversing. Weights would have made all the difference.
    Basically, I wouldn't the weight carrier on unless they were going to be needed.

    I wonder could you design a detachable weight carrier with discreet brackets? One that wouldn't take from the looks but can be fitted when needed?
    Or am I talking complete bollox here?��

    Not a bad idea. I'm sure it could be easily enough made from the existing one. In this case though, I'm guessing the owner won't need weights at all.

    daily update time again guys , the brother is flat out rubbing down the filler on the wings so i stayed clear of the dust and started getting some items ready to send off to zincing after the christmas break .

    we also got two 290 N gas struts for the back window so we went ahead and got those mounted .

    and we made a handle to aid closing and opening the back window , this had to be cut to the correct camber as the brackets are slightly bent and we welded nuts in situ to make for a neater fit .

    at least we now know it will fit both the swept axle and the straight axle , thanks for everyone's helpful tips and photos worked a charm .

    the old windscreen wiper motor had burnt out long ago but the owner managed to get the exact same one somewhere on line so got to changing over all the bits to get her ready for a trial fit in the cab

    whats left of the old one .
