I've a feeling that everybody is not going to love Christmas Lisa pretty soon given the fact we're going to be watching those crazy dance moves ad nauseam for the next 2 months.

It's dreadful, the voice over is so wooden.

I like that Oral-B ad, where your one is talking to dentist, I like it because she has an empty smile on her face when the dentist is talking, like she has no idea what she is saying.

Looked at the English version of the McDonald's ad, surprised to see it had Westlife in it, thought they would have used a different song there, but I suppose they were big in England 20 years ago.

Eir have a new advert with Ballymaloe, with Darina Allen in it...

Nope... if I hated Eir before, I hate them far more now.

Noooooooooooooo the fooking GOMO mong dance ad is back!

48 need to hit them with the fact that they're 50% cheaper quick.

    Aldi Top Gun parody.

I Love Top Gun. Quite like Aldi, but it's a bit full on for a christmas ad.

There's probably more than something in that. If you think about it, the worst thing you can be is the bland ad that no-one can remember. Mind you, I think they are too clever at times with the annoying adds. Half the time I can't remember what it is they're flogging.

    GO COMPAAAAARE! GO COMPAAAARRRE!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Really want to re-create the gomo ad with a bunch of OAP their actual market.

48 is currently 8 per month compared to 13

deliveroo / aldi ad "delivered in TUURRTY minutes"... that v/o by the guy who seems excited about everything... fannysatchel

Pedigree dogs have hands too advert gives me the willies. Too in the face and for f*ck sake have they not heard of hygiene. Dogs licks their arses and genitals a lot and males do it all the time, some might be ok with that licking your face.

That new Permanent TSB ad about the mortgage. They make it seem like the grey haired dude is the girl's partner as he is so committed to sorting her mortgage but it turns out he is her mortgage advisor.

    The smugness is sickening

The 48 ads are weak enough. They should highlight the difference in the price.

    Any difference in coverage?

Not as good as GoMo, it is on the eir network. 48 is on the 3 network.

Both are owned by their respective networks.

What is the deal with the Irish media love affair with the Allens? They and their business are plastered everywhere.

Especially when it's 'dealing' that got her grand kid in trouble. (At least, when he thought he was an amateur drug dealer).

I have no idea WHY they keep yammering on with them... they're the most horrendous people you could associate with.
And then Eir gave em money.

Well, I suppose Tim needs really fast broadband to download all that child porn.

I find the dairygold ad refreshing, almost old school - no down tempo depressing version of a popular song, no virtue signaling, just a bit lighthearted and I at least know after seeing it what the product is.

And for something to despise to make this post valid for the thread - the Amazon christmas lisa one. I've seen it on English channels with the same flat voice over done with an eglish accent so its defiantly intentional for some reason. Amazing how a company that wealthy can make an ad that poor. It almost seems like it's a severely cut down edited version of something else. I don't even know what's happening in it, is it supposed to be charades? Theres no drink or anything on the table so it looks so dry and forced and just weird, like the day room in a home for the mentally feeble or something.

Plus it has a token dwarf in it, its so patronising, surprised they didnt squeeze someone in a wheelchair in there aswell.

All of them. I can’t remember the last time I saw an advert without a mixed race couple, a woman berating a man for not doing the housework/childcare, a boy using dolls or a kitchen etc.

There is ZERO wrong with any of these - marry who you want; yeah loads of men do the chores - my dad did all the cooking as the mammy could burn Weetabix and am the biggest tomboy going - but it’s all so forced, and t feels like it’s ticking boxes.

Now you put it in my head!!

The new Dairygold ad I don't mind too much.

Now starts the seasonal onslaught of abstract perfume/aftershave ads, usually shot in the dark with lots of sparkles and promises of sex.

The Amazon ad....”Christmas Lisa”.....FFS....if it’s going to be 7 weeks of listening to/watching that I won’t be responsible for my actions....

I find the worst ads are always the ones with the annoying jingles. When you hear that the first time it’s harmless enough.....by the 57th time...grrrrr.

Mute every time... Why do these ad makers assume that if there's more than one child in a house the place is in mayhem all the time.
