Love the Sainsbury's ad. Kind of sums up Christmas for a lot of people.

    Sainsbury's is a cute ad.

    Hi Chuckles...I thought the same.......LOL...

Me too! He's the spit of him! Is that the guy who plays Pete in Fair City??

Enjoyed the Sainsbury's ad but not my favourite of theirs.
The Macy's one (and Lidl) remind me of that heartbreaking advert from last year where the family only returned home because they thought the old man was dead.
M&S, Lidl and Aldi still winning for me this year! :D

Yes - the Marks & Spencer one had me in tears - I've watched it over and over - the red helicopter -- she is M out of James Bond, in a red dress :-)
i want her Mrs Claus outfit for Christmas!

The Sainsbury ad was very cheesy and felt like it was trying to hard.

Quality street have an ad this year.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on the Sainsbury's ad. It's like a boring kids cartoon.

I like the Asda series. .

I love the Asda ones! Just simple and funny.

Yes, that's him - but would Macy's really have hired him for a head shot?

Very disappointed with the John Lewis ad this year. So many things wrong with it. Music usually brillant not this year

Respectfully disagree. The ad itself isn't pitch perfect but the vocal on that supporting track is flawless.

Just realised I hadn't seen the Sainsbury's ad so watched it there.
I liked it, but it did feel a bit twee. Definitely trying too hard- even down to the multi-ethnic family. And it did go on for a while!

I did like the train being delayed by a snowflake and the "queue for a queue"... definitely representative of real life! :D

Edit: I do however, agree with the sentiment that spending time together is what Christmas should be all about, not running ourselves ragged. It just felt a little forced.

The sainsburys one I'd definitely put in the 'Trying too hard' category...

Anyone hear when we're going to see the new Guinness one (that's replacing my all time favourite crimbo advert... :-( )

    New Spanish Lotto Christmas Ad

I got all teary watching it.
And although it is not Christmassy as such, it has a beautiful message that just reminds you what it's all about.

Also, I need to brush up on my Spanish. 😄

The girl was played by twins, Alexandra and Holly Stapely. Holly is a nurse in Ontario and Alex is a customer service representative with Nissan. SOURCE
