Does anyone here bring dogs with them to France ?
Do you use the onboard dog kennels on the ferry?
What do you do with the dog at the camp site?
Do any camp sites provide kennels?
My sister has brought her dogs to France twice. It is simple. On Brittany Ferries, a steward met her at their car and escorted her and the dogs to the kennels on the ship. They have a nice exercise area for the dogs on the large rear deck of the Pont Aven. Obviously, you need to have the dog "passport".
She had no difficulty staying in regular tourist apartment complexes without kennels.

Got our Credit yesterday from IF for our cancelled trip to the UK at Halloween. Good until end of 2021. Can also be used towards the Deposit for our France 2021 trip when the Schedule/Prices come out which they are saying will be end October.

Booked our campsite for next year with our voucher from them. Hopefully we will get there.

Just booked a flexi fare with Stena for next July/August. Hopefully it will all work out!

Flexi conditions seems as good as ever - full refund if you cancel 24h ahead of schedule. Only change I could see was booking deposit is now non-refundable.

Stena have always been the best for their flexi fares and Irish Ferries are pretty good also.

Beware of the "same" type of fares from Brittany Ferries though, nowhere near as "flexi" as they charge a 25% cancellation fee regardless of when you cancel.

Interesting piece on Pat Kenny show earlier, he has on representatives from Rosslare port. Their hoping to have a daily service to continental Europe Post brexit. Didn't specify whether it would be just freight but I'm sure they would try to supplement the route with foot passengers/cars. About 90mins in to the show if listening back.

It’s rumoured Brittany ferries will run a service from Rosslare to Cherbourg starting next year.

Not exactly a rumour. Service starts in March and booking has been available for a few weeks.

Brittany was announced quite some time ago.

The rumours are that Rosslare are in discussions with someone else also

Booked our flights to France next summer, last weekend.
Went for the flexi option which allows us to cancel if needs be and was cheaper than standard fare last year!!

    So all good.

Meanwhile Irish Ferries still don't have a schedule for next year - and don't know when they will.

Most likely is they do have a schedule but are sitting on it until they know how Brexit/Covid situations are going to play out

When will they know that and what do their ships do in the meantime?

I was in touch with them earlier this week and was told that it would be another couple of weeks, and that if I'm on the mailing list I'll be notified by email once the schedules are available.

My credit note is due to expire on 31 December, so it will be pretty tight window to make the booking! Unless they push out the expiry date on the credit note.

That would be the least they should do.

I don't know how both Stena and Brittany Ferries have been able to publish schedules. They face the same issues as IF and I could book with them tomorrow. IF offer a more convenient sailing into Dublin instead of Rosslare, although their ship on that route is very basic. I haven't used BF's trucker ferry but the Stena Horizon is OK.

I think I'll just go ahead and book with Stena or BF. Irish Ferries can take all the time they want and take what bookings are left by then.

Yeah, we have a Credit Note plus Tesco Tokens to use with IF.

Well that's probably the reason they're not publishing the schedule, they're hoping everyone with credit will give up and book something else.

They'll probably release it on December 29th or something and the website will crash with everyone trying to book and conveniently all the credit notes will expire

More likely they are negotiating with the big transport companies and freight customers over routes. schedules (and costs)

They will probably extend validity of credit notes.

Looks like they'll be a ferry running to Cherbourg every day next year from either Rosslare or Dublin.
